It can be done, we only have 7 origins, their background doesn't matter in the next series because they all are "Hero of Ferelden". The game can just forget all the details and moved into the issue the hero have to deal with. If the hero is dead in previous game, then players can choose new hero, no problem at all. But they choose to create Hawke....

All heroes can simply being called "Commander". If the hero is dead, new character can also being called "Commander". See, no problem in there.

All their history only mentioned briefly in the prologue, then the game can just forget it. Just make some excuse where the hero got amnesia or something so he/she have learn back all the skills. Or maybe just set the hero skills already by level 5 or 10 at the beginning as "Warden Commander" no matter what class.

OP - you were surprised not to see your DA:O warden in Inquisition...? Really?

Sorry but that's incredibly naive of you. There are simply too many conclusions of the warden's story for Bioware to adequately tie up to include all possible permutations in any future games.

Your warden's story is at an end. Headcanon all you like, but the canon games will not include them directly again. Face it and deal with it,

I definitely like the different hero for each game. But I rather like that the greatest heroes of the age are allies and friends. They could even form a new order together. The Hero, the Champion, and the Inquisitor would all make good friends in my world states. Even my 3 power hungry mages.

I think it was a huge missed chance to not make the Warden Ally be OUR Wardens. But then we woukd have had to kill one of them off.

I honestly think most people found a way for their Wardens to live. In my "good guy" world state, I went the Redeemer route and let Loghain land the killing blow. So the Ultimate Sacrifice is not the only way a good Warden can survive
