I know what you're going to say another one ?

But what if the romance option was a little more diverse. So why not the other way around and have your squadmates / companions make the first move when it comes to romance. Why is it always the Protagonist that has to make the first move. Let them come with flirts flowers and other stuff and why leave it at one attempt why not two or three. And that you ( the protagonist ) can make the choice to pursuit that person or not. And let's make it even more interesting why not two lovers one main lover and one mistress male / female just like Vivienne had with Bastien. I don't want to turn it into a love / sex game. That is definitely not what i want but a little more interesting when it comes to romance is not so bad right ?

And why stop at the companions there are more persons out there for instance Lace Harding in Dragon Age Inquisition she can pursue the Inquisitor or another person male / female outside the companion circle.

So thoughts on this matter ?

Making a move on your boss is always way too risky and awkward that's why they wait for the boss to make the first move. The captain would have to make it obvious that they like the person or the person would have to have a great amount of confidence.

I think there just needs to be a "swingers dlc" with every single bioware game from now on.

Just no Jessica Chobot this time *gag*

Haha ok ok but in all honesty, I mean, yeah I wouldn't mind a little more "variety" in terms of how the relationships can actually come about but I hate it when it's all "in your face".

I was legitimately irritated when Kaiden decided to abruptly come out of the closet during lunch or whatever.

Okay so then they have to do something about that ... that it's not "in your face"

But then again romance option don't have to be nice and good all the time some will be irritating and some you would really like. It's up to you if you would pursue the flirts or not.

And also think about this; the relationships in mass effect had a lot more meaning to them than most other games because it was a trillogy.  There was a lot of time invested in the overall story and it allowed developers more flexibility to take the relationships in various directions and do different things with them. I have no idea honestly whether Andromeda will be a stand alone title or part of a series. I think that will factor into this heavily.

I like making the first move myself, it would be nice to more acceptance that being the recipient isn't such a bad thing, and perhaps de-stigmatize that in a sense.

That's also good if you would like to make the first move yourself. But maybe in the next playthrough you could let "them" do all the work ;).

Well that's what I was thinking, basically, the first move from the perspective of an NPC character making the first move being good.

I don't know really. Being courted by Harbinger was awkward enough.

Okay but there are "more options" out there so maybe there is one you would like and that's less awkward  ;)

I wouldn't have an issue with them making the first move.

Some people obviously would based on the Anders experience.

Our protagonists, spending their down time in their quarters, falls in love with a character from a video game they've been playing to pass the time.

Interactions and love scenes include - Writing highly implausible yet erotically charged fan-fiction, debates on forums about how it would taste if they spat in your mouth, and creating extremely sexualised art that focuses on their . . . erm . . . focusing points.

Plot twist - Just before our protagonist provides a link to the recently finished (and Magnum Opus level) fan-fiction, the antagonist shuts down the forum leaving said fan-fiction rotting in obscurity and the hero of ME:A swearing revenge on all that have earned their waifu's ire.

Kaidan did make the first move on FemShep. FemShep could have a relationship with him simply by being vague about his interest and he would pursue her. I like it since it didn't make Shepard look like a sex fiend and abusing authority.

Liara also make the first move by cyberstalking Shepard before you two even talk about one another.
