I would like to take this opportunity to remember one of our most cherished members. What are some your memories with him? And what do you think his reaction would be to the news regarding August 26th?

Chris is a really nice guy in person, good guy. He was little more rough around the edges when moderating and as community manager at times. At least back in the day when he was community manager and we had a decent roster of community moderators actual good moderation took place.
Didn't at all like the semi shot both Gaider and he took at the forums and by association people who hang out on them. Like BEAware they were viewing the forums seemingly only for the negatives and not the huge host of positives.

Oh yeah, I'd say right around the time Mass Effect 3 was nearing release was when this place was in it's prime. Had tons of moderators, great dialogues, even the trolls were entertaining. And then people starting beating mass effect 3 and you couldn't go anywhere without seeing IT every other word. That's about the time when I jumped ship lmao

...What are some your memories with him?...
I remember when this Class II morbidly obese sack of cu m banned me for being too critical of the Mass Effect 3 ending and that Bioware did the wise thing by canning his useless ass (it was a really big can, more a dumpster really) after he humiliated himself by making a slimy, creepy comment towards Felicia Day while representing Bioware.

Good job on proving Bioware right on their decision to close this place down.
I'll never understand the thought process behind just randomly being a dick to someone you don't even know.

I can't really imagine what it must've been like for the team at BioWare to see this place transform from the place it once was to what it was during its worst times. If it was bad enough to chase away many fans for a time, how must the people who made the game feel? Eventually, the logical outcome is that they throw in the towel and quit coming around at all.
I hate that we're losing this place. I do thing it's because BioWare would rather not have us gathered together in one big hornets nest when MEA launches. It's easier to ignore the inevitable vitriol when we are dispersed across the Internet. I could be wrong. Maybe they just don't like paying to keep the lights on for people they think are mostly a bunch of jack holes.
Either way, I understand, even if I don't like this final result. It's a long term example of the ill mannered ruining things for the well behaved. There is a civilized way to express disappointment with product. I hope the moderators of our new home keep that in focus when the inevitable complaints begin anew.

In the interest of keeping it on topic, isn't he with CDPR, now? Or is that already in the past?

I'm not sure what CDPR is. Did Bioware actually just let him go completely?

CDPR - CD Projekt Red
His twitter's description is: "Former Community Manager for CD PROJEKT RED & BioWare. Currently seeking employment" so there's your answer.

I personally don't want to criticize or comment on anyone's body or looks because I dislike their attitude or comments.

But, you know, as I say I won't be putting him in my Christmas card list ![]()
