Ok so I'm on the second part of the quest, which tells me to speak to Lanteia at the Eternity Bar. When I try to speak to her, she gives me the generic reply of saying she's waiting for someone and to go away. I've tried speaking to her multiple times and even left the planet and came back. Nothing seems to trigger the quest for her. Lame....

If it was required for Miranda to be there, wouldn't it have forced it? Like it did for the other story quests.

Well the contact wouldn't talk to you without Miranda. She isn't forced so you don't have to have her on the planet if you don't want. You need her to start the mission and then she's required to do it aswell.

Well that's the problem. The contact doesn't even want to speak to me despite having the quest telling me to do so.

I know but you need Miranda, it isn't forced because then you'd have to have her all the time on the planet. Grab Miranda go and get the mission.
