From a man who does not understand anything socially.

When is the Inquisitor suppose to walk towards the Empress in the very beginning?

It's been extremely, extremely confusing for me. Is it after they start introducing my other characters and walk with them? Or walk behind Gaspard?

^kind of clings to some realism here and I always felt awkward in this part, I wish the whole thing remained a cutscene, instead of my jerky controller that doesn't understand what I am suppose to be doing

I've always thought you have to walk with Gaspard but without getting too close to Celene so you can hear everything before skipping into the cutscene.

I hang out for a minute when the announcement of names begins, then slowly begin marching across the floor towards Celene.

If you want to hear all of the announcers funny titles about your crew, hand out on the top of the stairs for a few moments and you can hear your crew reactions, walk at walking speed up to Celene and behind Gaspard. I always do that so I may hear all of the vaunted and funny titles.  :D

Go to 3:56 on this video and you'll see how they did it.

I walk to the center of the first platform when my Inquisitor's name is announced, and he stands at the top of the steps in front of the three advisors facing toward the Empress.

When the first advisor is announced, then my Inquisitor starts walking.

My Inquisitor stops at the base of the stairs leading up to Gaspard until the last advisor stands in place.

It plays out so that my Inquisitor looks like he is leading all three advisors to the other end of the room.

Gotcha. That makes sense.

Just like I'd probably do in real life, due to social ineptness, my Inquisitors sort of start to walk forward and then stop, start again, and then try to run to catch up to Cullen. The only reason they don't fall down as they go up the stairs is because the game won't let them.

My Inquisitor tend to look lost in that moment. Except Esmond, he's my cheeky, snarky, flirts with everyone, kind of Inquisitor with a relationship with Josephine. It wasn't just political for Esmond, despite the Montleys having some connection with Trevelan.

Esmond such a child compared to Fintan.

Esmond just thinks he's beautiful and take a second for everyone to notice him.

While Fintan just....with Cassandra, all of this is a little silly

You could just head for one of the food tables.

Surprised there isn't a -Court Approval set up for something like that.
