Well I of cource wanted to load my ME1 characters, however, it says I need to run configuratio utility to do it problem is it crashes when it reaches around half way detecting. Anyone have a fix for this or am I boned?

I had that problem and it went away after a restart. Not sure if that will work for you. If it doesn't work after a restart, try running that config utility in administrator mode.Scarekrow_au wrote...

Try restarting your computer. After restart, if it doesn't work, try running the config in administrator mode. (You may have to find the exe in the game folder)

Ah thanks ill try that. hopefully it will work, not to happy with the 'canon' back story.

I'm having the same issue. Getting a runtime error when trying to open the Configuration Utility. Tried restarting and when I first installed the game there was no problem at all with it.
