I have no problem with that. It could be really interesting.

So mixing in Citadel with Trespasser. I wouldn't mind if some of the relationships ended with kids, or marriage, or both, but I wouldn't want that to clog up the main bulk of the game.

As an epilogue, perhaps.
But starting a family in the middle of some crisis probably wouldn't work. Picking out baby names in the middle of a gunfight would be just plain weird..

To be fair, it would make quite a funny talk, "Sooo what about Requis?" xD

But what about the children!

Yes, I want them to allocate their time and resources into making children. Excellent.

Doing it as nature intended is far superior to using a keyboard though ![]()

I would support the idea if BSN were staying open, so I could watch the furious debate over gay and transgender reproduction options (and that's before we start dealing across species).
^Newsflash, transgender people can reproduce ![]()

What, like Aerie declaring she wants to name her and the Bhaalspawn's son "Quayle"? ![]()

Wow. I totally read the last part of the sentence as "off the pie". It completely changed the tone of the entire post. I immediately read it again to see if I'd read it correctly. I think I'm disappointed that I was mistaken.lol, idk, I have 4 real ones IRL and I'm doing my duty keeping the girls off the pole and the boys off the pipe...
No disrespect intended to you or your family, naturally.

I should have known it was too much to hope this thread wouldn't turn into another pie fest.... WAY TO GO Element Zero!

Why not? I've never seen a rule book that says you can't roleplay having a child.
Having confidence that Bioware can do it convincingly is another thing, but at all I don't see why it couldn't be a element.
Because the game takes place in the middle of your character trying to find a new planet(s) for probably several species who have all been forced to leave their home galaxy, and at the same time trying to keep them all from being killed by various unknown threats such as: hostile aliens, foreign diseases of varying lethality, extreme weather conditions, possibly starvation, etc etc. Also your character will be personally going from place to place fighting said threats in probably very dangerous situations, and it would be a terrible idea for Ryder to have a child during that time. This is especially so if you play as a female since you would be carrying the child if your partner was a human male, or if you opted for artificial insemination.
I'm assuming birth control is a very viable and real thing at this point in time, and it would make absolutely NO SENSE for a person in the above situation to suddenly decide "You know what would go well with this situation? A helpless infant who needs lots of time and care after nine months of gestation." Parenthood would (rightly) be the last thing on anyone's mind at that point. There's too much to worry about and try to figure out as a person with a lot of responsibility to add to that by having a child with your partner.
Like I said, I do very much like the idea of Ryder and her partner discussing having children/adopting, but I think if they do toss in kids, it should be for the epilogue, not during the game itself.

Oh how will I miss this Sims crowd. Not.
Get a life. Or a dog at least. In worst case play Sims. Whether you are trolling or just being a creep, just keep this crap out of action games.
Ah, it does feel good to finally take advantage of my unused warning slots in these last days.
yes, OP needs to get a life outside of video games.
Stop trying to mix game types! go play sims. This isn't space sims. This is Mass Effect, I wanna kill aliens and and **** ladies/mens.

Actually, before ME3's launch, I think a lot of people actually expected this to happen: that Shepard would settle down with his LI and start a family in the epilogue. Obviously, that never happened!
I'm not for or against it, but it is a natural extension for Bioware games.

Liara and Garrus got mentions of having kids together. You and Tali get to talk about making a home together on Rannoch. Still wasn't enough, I see.

I really hope Garrus referred to adoption. Because the Ripley clones come to mind with gross half breeds.Liara and Garrus got mentions of having kids together. You and Tali get to talk about making a home together on Rannoch. Still wasn't enough, I see.

Shepard actually mentions adoption in that conversation, and because of the incompatible biology.
