So I've basically spent the entire free part of my day searching for compatible (and *cheap*) computer parts, and computers, for Inquisition, since I'd like to move from Xbox One to PC (hate using a console that isn't mine in order to play this game.)

Unfortunately, I'm not anywhere near close to tech savvy and I do NOT have the money to afford an $800+ PC/Laptop. I'd even go as far to say $400, but that would be if I were buying a computer "whole". Self inflicted low budget- I'm a horse person and therefore never have a decent sum of money at one time :') (Surprisingly, I found something that costs MORE than my horse's monthly cost; a PC compatible with Inquisition) Which makes the idea of BUILDING a PC much more appealing, since I can save up and buy parts at a time (and I'm not really in any rush so that works for me.)

I'd like the game to run smoothly on at most Medium- I'm not really particular about graphics, as long as things are clear and pretty I'm happy. I found, for the most part, a PC build that works for my budget (around $400 but cheaper would be so much better), but once I got to the graphics card in said build it blew the budget to bits... And I have no idea what else would be compatible, so I figured finding out a new build, or (again) just an affordable PC, would be a bit easier.

As I said, I don't have the first idea about cards, processors, CPUs, motherboards and whatever else- so advice may just be really confusing. A list or something of what you think works would be much easier for me to look up and check out (pricewise, because I will not understand the computer anything x3)

I'm running Ultra on i5-2500 (mine's a K, but I never got around to actually overclocking it), 8GB RAM and GTX 770. If you can find those somewhere (the i5 is a Sandy Bridge, which is good three maybe four generations old now - I don't keep up that well anymore; I don't actually know what 8GB RAM cost in the States, but it's a fairly cheap matter; the GTX is likely the most expensive of those these days - good news is, this one handles Ultra, so you can get a 760/660/670 and should be good enough - all of those should be significantly cheaper... significant bonus, my PC is relatively old, Sandy Bridge processors being a 2011 technology, and the 700 series of NVidia GPUs being a 2013 technology)

So, yeah, I'm not very helpful, but at least you can compare these things to parts and find out things that will make it work. Also, the i5 is technically below the requirements, but those Sandies, let me tell ya...

Last suggestion: Avoid AMD like the Devil avoids the Cross.

...and try going at least Recommended if you also like Mass Effect, because Andromeda should be running on the same version of Frostbite (or a couple builds different, which isn't a massive difference) as Inquisition.

I might try looking for some decent and compatible-looking parts later, but it's been years since I left the IT high school (that gave me precisely NO extra knowledge at all) and said that I do not want to work with computers. That's also around the time I stopped having a good idea about individual types, etc.
