Yes. I've tried that. It worked and I had some fun with it.

Any disallowed emails are because of spambot abuse, gmail, yahoo etc are all allowed so you can make one to register. Sorry for the inconvenience

Suggestion: create a post in each of the respective source top-level BSN forums with status of the scrape: Pending/In Progress/Done, or the General Discussion sub, as appropriate. Then the people who care most are more likely to see it.

I honestly didn't want to do this, but it'd be such a shame to lose all my time spent here. I don't know if I'll ever use the site and the account, but at least I'll have a record of it somewhere on the internet, where I can see it (I assume). It's kinda feels like proof of fandom post-BWF wipe, actually.

Fexelea, know your inundated right now but my post count is still at 2 and I was part of the 2nd wave.  Maybe a delay before things synch up?

Where are most of your posts? The count will increase as posts from specific forums are added. Right now we have ME:Andromeda, DA: Origins and Dragon Keep. So if your post history is on Mass Effect 2, then there's no synch to be done yet (but it will be done as we progress the import)

 

Thank you for doing this. I will probably not be very active but it's nice to see the legacy continued, all the stories and memories we all have shared on these forums.

Just in case, if you registered an account and want it synched, let me know the details

 

will you be importing the wiki as well or just the forums?

The Toolset wiki was successfully exported by @Tarshana, she has it ready for publishing on August 26th, I believe.

So. That 'The e-mail address you entered is not allowed to be used' error I keep getting when trying to register an acc with my @yandex.ru e-mail?

Am I missing something here? 

We talked about this on the other thread but I wanted to re-iterate that I'm sorry this inconveniences you and hope you can find some time to make an account if you decide to import. I'll remove the restrictions if they are dealt with from Yandex's side.

I think you figured this out and made another one, and I'm sorry you had to go out of your way. Unfortunately there are a lot of spambots out of GMX. I'll remove the restrictions if they are dealt with from GMX side.

I manually activated your account. Could you please confirm that you can log in, and add admin at fextralife.com to your whitelist in case you need to reset your password?

That is a good idea. Any chance you'd like to maintain this for me. I'm rather overwhelmed with the huge import process, synching accounts, and revamping the forum while I'm at it... and Gamescom is next week ... GAHHH!

Andromeda was already fully imported. Other subforums are huge, so it's going at snail pace. But it will get done before the forums go offline here.

When I try to log in, it tells me that the username doesn't exist, but it may have been because I entered the e-mail. I'll try something different. Edit: It worked. Thank you for your efforts, they are much appreciated.

I have posts scattered throughout many forums including quite a bit on DAO and MEA, but my post count has not changed.  Just the few I created since signing up at the new site.
