My materials (including my posts) are all copyrighted by me. 

By choosing to post them here, I gave EA/BioWare permission to distribute them via this site.

 

I did NOT give this "fextralife" (whatever it is) permission to do squat with my materials.

 

Remove them immediately.

 

And NO, I will not "create an account" on some pirate site (and that's what you are when you take other people's material without permission and distribute it) in order to "claim" my own works and tell you to remove them when you had no right to them in the first place.

 

Remember:  Just because you "found it on the internet" doesn't mean it's free or that you can do whatever you want with it.

I do not believe most of the people complaining are savvy enough in legalese to understand what rights they have. I do not have the time or motivation to cram legal lessons into posts.

The archive for bioware is available on several websites already, you all simply don't know it. There are dozens of sites who dedicate to copying forum content, as Jeremiah demonstrated before.

Either way I have already provided the steps to take, Those who do not wish to create an account can find and report any URLs, and I'll attempt to find and remove, but again this is a matter of me being courteous and any further attacks on my persona or my website will not be entertained.

No, you didn't. Once you posted your words directly into the public domain, you sacrificed any chance of your "permission" being a factor in their distribution at all.

Yes, it does. Public domain is the key here. If you had any legal claim on the words you post to this site, the mods wouldn't be able to edit or delete them, and people like this youtuber:

I'm trying to create an account but the "I am not a robot" box won't check properly. I keep getting a spinning arrow. Ideas?

 

Edit: Resolved. IE was blocking the pop up screen.

Second edit: I had to switch to Firefox instead of IE to get the pop up to work properly.

No worries. IE is a pain sometimes, and thanks for adding that warning.

Please note I corrected my BSN name in the post above. I really had no idea it was set up to start with a capital letter instead of lower case.

The number one cause of problems is using I.E instead of all the other browsers. It never works well with the internet standards
