Because people are currently busy saving as much of the forum as possible and if the mods delete it first... it's really gone forever.

I don't see point on mods doing any of that, this place is going down anyways so I expected leniency myself. Instead they got in banning and warning point spree? For what purpose? Is Bioware just trying to make people angry at them?

I'm mulling over what's going on. The month to continue posting and the month after that as 'read only' is actually rather kind and considerate. They could have simply done as they did with 'Off Topic' and shut the whole thing down.

Because they need something to show future clients.

They don't want it to be known how badly they've handled moderation here in the past and so, with the place closing, are trying to create a false impression that they've done all they possibly could.

I wish I could be that lazy in my job, but my brother wouldn't be happy if his business closed down due to ineptitude and a don't give a **** attitude.
