The very last scene with my Inquisitor and Solas (high approval, Fade/Spirit-friendly, etc.)
Mage Trevelyan (Knight Enchanter) who has been his friend, helped bring back ancient elven magic, saved his friend the Wisdom spirit, and was compassionate to all.
Here we have what the elves essentially regard as their version of Satan, whom the ancient elves regarded as their savior, and as regards himself as neither.
Regardless, he is immensely powerful, what with effortlessly dispatching the Qunari equivalent of a CIA/Gestapo agent who was specially trained to handle magic.
*Flash of grey* She turns to stone.
All my Inquisitor sees is his friend, who they adventured with, slew dragons with, restored order and peace, always asked for his thoughts (Solas Slightly Approves) and generally showed Solas that, YES, there are good things in this world.
My Inquisitor is dying, and the first thing he says when that moment happens is:
"You don't need to destroy this world. I'll prove it to you."
"I would treasure the chance to be wrong once again, my friend."
*Disarms and removes the Mark*
"Live well, while time remains."
*INQUISITION REMAINS AS DIVINE VICTORIA'S (Leliana) PERSONAL GUARD*
"We will save our friend from himself, if we can."
Despite EVERYTHING, the Inquisitor still thinks that there's hope, despite millennia of history that says otherwise (Dalish History, Chantry/Dalish relations, the Qun)
To see it all coalesce, with the Inquisitor having every reason to be angry, instead showing kindess and faith in his friend...
It was one of those moments where I sat back and just... sat there, letting it all turn over in my mind.
