Hey there fellow N7's!

Just wanting to know if there is an eta time or date on when ME.A will be available for pre order?

Am super excited to see what bioware has been doing this whole time. Im sure its nothing short of perfect when it comes to our favorite game series. Everytime I go to Gamestop im always asking them

any news on pre order date for ME.A? Same response is always nothing yet. But its gotten to where

I dont even ask anymore. All I have to do is look at them and they say nothing yet man lol!

Looking forward to playing Mass Effect Again. I am currently on my 1477th save so far on ME1.

Dont ask on the other 2 games its alot worst. Mass Effect for life!

Lol I'm getting pretty antsy myself buddy. But there's still no word on that. What do you suppose comes with the pre-ordered collector's edition?

no ETA, my guess would be towards the end of this year. You could also ask to put in a pre-order at wherever you pre-order from, although with so little info on Andromeda I'd hold off on pre-ordering...and with the forum being closed down I'd just wait until I hear user and critic reviews.

I see Leo mentioned the forum closing, but I wanted to specifically extend an invitation to the lifeboat to which everyone has fled. You might have noticed that this place has become a bit of a bizarro ghost-town. That's because a big portion of the active community has moved to http://bsn.boards.net.

If you're looking to discuss ME:A now, or especially in the weeks ahead, I believe you'll find that's the place to do it. Check it out now, or bookmark it for later.

As to preorders, I may not preorder this one, but I'm definitely eager for more info. There are a few bits of info I'll need to have before I can make it a "definite buy", but I have high hopes for MEA. I hope it's a more than worthy successor to the original trilogy, and that it's just the beginning of a whole new chapter for Mass Effect.

Hey there fellow N7's!

You aren't a N7. I reviewed your records. You're an A1. Like the steak sauce.

They will probably wait until the forums are closed so we won't be able to make more "preorder cancel" jokes :crying:.

Most likely in January 2017.

But might also be on November/December 2016,but i doubt EA will want their new game be available in holiday pricing for pre-order.

Assuming there is an info-dump on N7 Day (Nov 7), I'd expect a launch date at that time and pre-orders to be available then or soon after.

What a refreshing attitude. Thanks!

I don't know when MEA will be available for preorder but we should get more info on N7 day.

The owner at the game store down the road said I could preorder the game if I want.

People are idiots. That or they like getting burned. Reviews are your friends, not your enemy. And their are a wide variety of reviewers. So you are sure to find someone that matches your taste. No excuse of this reviewer's taste don't line with yours.

People are idiots.

Buying a pre-order is not idiocy, but it is a risk.

Buying anything sight-unseen (before review) is a risk.

Whether the risk is worthwhile depends on:

  • Whether you are so invested you will buy it irrespective of actual quality (good or bad)
  • Whether you have enough disposable zots to make the impact of a poor purchase minimal or irrelevant.

In short, it's fine to argue against pre-orders philosophically,

but if they want it and have the cash, that's their choice surely?

You mean the $0.03 I can save as a Prime Member?

I always buy my games from Amazon, but not because they save me money.

Game has been up for preorder on Amazon since E3. If you're waiting on other retailers like GameStop, it might be a while.

Prime members now get a 20% discount on all unreleased games up to two weeks post-launch, though this doesn't appear to be reflected for MEA just yet.

I've preordered a lot of games and I've got burned, as far as I can remember, exactly once (yes, Aliens: Colonial Marines, I'm looking at YOU), so I might be an idiot, but at least I'm lucky idiot.

Anyhow, OP, since this site will be long gone when they'll announce release date and preorder, your best bet would be to follow BioWare on those SM sites Conal mentioned and/or lurk some unofficial site(s). Speaking of which
[X] Paging Cyonan
Since I'm not that into SM, here's hoping that all announcements will be on http://bsn.boards.net, thanks in advance.

I'll be buying ME:A regardless of player reviews, good or bad, simply because I don't trust player reviews for Bioware games anymore.  If I bought games based on these reviews, I would have missed out on both DA2 and ME3; both of which I loved playing.  I fully expect there to be a large contingent of bad reviews for Andromeda, regardless of how good it is.

I think people are idiots for pre-ordering for an entirely different set of reasons.  One, you tie up your money for no reason.  Two, you end up paying more thanks to inflation.  Three, you encourage bad behaviour by the publisher, and frankly, they don't need more encouragement for that!

I would highly advise to wait till more details are known about the game. Given closure of BSN prior to marketing campaign ,i assume game will take different direction and genre balance will move even more toward action. Could be a great game ,regardless of genre of course. But may be not the game you are looking for.

Just a friendly advice before all ooooh preorder marketing hype hits.

Someone pull up that south park scene with cartman on preorders. On the phone at work at the moment. But it is 100% accurate.

If it was only a personal risk I wouldn't give a single f***, do what you want with your money. The deal is that people pay before seeing reviews, based only on hype, and now it is very common to release sub-par games because a large chunk of the money has been paid for.
