Which way to Henchmen?

I have been trying to find more information on Henchmen.  

From what I have been reading there are a few different ways to creating Henchmen?  

Is it still necessary to create a blueprint for every level-up version of an NPC henchmen? 

Has someone written something explaining the expansion(s) henchmen script sets?

 

I want to add basic henchmen to a project I am working on.  I might have further questions but these are the two biggest questions as I have yet to begin this effort.  I want to consider the different possibilities.  I am not looking for advanced AI.  These will be simple Henchmen added to provide more fun for single player encounters. 

I am new to this and want to understand my options before I add Henchmen.

I presume you've got a copy of the downloadable version of the Lexicon? Have you looked at "OHS Henchman System : Release 1 Version 1.6.1 for Patch 1.69", "Module Builder's Henchman Kit v2.3a" and "Tony K's Henchman Inventory & Battle AI Mod"?

I don't recommend that anyone should open the Toolset without having the NWN Lexicon open in another window.  It has become an invaluable learning/building tool for me.  The Module Builders Henchmen kit looks promising. It might even be more than I need.  Thank you for your suggestions.
