Sadly, you miss one exception to your argument, government contractors are susceptible to the rights guaranteed by the constitution, which both Twitter and Facebook are. And as paid employees of the government must abide by all its laws. Also I would refer you to the 2, 1, 10, 2 amendment loop as to why I have the right to say what I wish. You may not have been aware of this, in that case I forgive you. Not everybody is privy to that knowledge. Have a great day!

I'm not sure where you're getting that Twitter and FB are paid employees of the government (if they were, the GSA would not have had to negotiate privacy contracts with FB and other social media [see EPIC's FOIA request in 2009] in order to even use their services*.. and Twitter would not have been able to sue the US Gov't** over same a couple years ago), but even if they were, the only protected speech on either would be about the government itself. That's the only thing the First Amendment protects against - the government coming after you if you talk badly about them.

As a side note, if you would please provide a source about them being employees of the government, I'd like to read it because that's news to me. As far as I know, the government makes requests (demands) for data to these private corporations and they are expected to comply in the name of National Security. Some have fought for the ability to notify users of such and it's an ongoing battle in some cases. They (gov't) also employ true contractors to monitor certain words on social media, something I doubt they would need to do if FB and Twitter worked for them - they'd just need to run a query against the database, or make their paid employees set up triggers when a word gets typed that automatically alerts everyone and their big brother.

As for a "2, 1, 10, 2 amendment loop", that was extremely vague - anyone who didn't know about it still doesn't More info please? As in anything, including this and the above paragraph, I'm willing to look at anything and learn if there is new information***.
