Hey! guys I have played and beaten all of the Dragon Age games but I've never played any Mass Effect games, so can you guys tell me reasons to play the Mass Effect games, so lay it on me!!!!

Engaging stories, and a comfortable setting; feels like wearing a fave tee. The dialogue is great, characters are superb, and the VO remains top notch.

While I prefer the greater RP aspect of ME1, the mechanics are best for me in ME3.

I started out as a Dragon Age fan and decided to play Mass Effect too at some point, even though I was never even a Sci-Fi fan. But since I loved Bioware's approach on choices with Dragon Age I gave it a shot. I quickly loved it more than Dragon Age, because while you also have plenty of great choices to make, there's a continuity for your character that Dragon Age can't give you, since you play the protagonist (who can also be male or female) through all 3 games. I never did mind that we have a new protagonist for every new Dragon Age game, but the Mass Effect experience was just so much more immersive thanks to this and I wouldn't want to miss it.

You also have a lot of great and diverse characters you will love or hate, romances and a codex just like in Dragon Age.

You can play ME as a shooter, but there's also classes that have a lot of great 'casting' powers, some even playing similar to mages. You can command your 2 squadmates yourself or let the AI do the work, both is possible

 

I think I should say though that the gameplay for ME1 is rather clunky, and there are a few hiccups and inconsistencies throughout the trilogy, but since this is the first time you can carry the same character over several games, they still did an amazing job with it and it's definitely worth to go on this journey Have fun if you try it!

Mass Effect 1 reminds me of DAO except DAO has a couple more areas to go to.  Mass Effect has great story and characters.  It pretty good for an older game.  I think it's older than DAO. 

 

 

 

Also ME2 is really good.

 

 

ME3 I couldn't get into.  It was a little complicated gameplay wise for me.

You know one of my neighbors played Mass Effect it has aliens and takes place in space...right?

Honestly, I play it for the romance and for my baby, Black Widow.

 

 

I got tired of DA and SWTOR gameplay... kinda wish it wasn't just hot keys spamming.
