In December 2013, I finally tried the multiplayer portion of Mass Effect 3. I was instantly addicted. I found BSN shortly afterwards, but didn’t start posting here until mid 2014.

 

I’d like to appreciate everyone here who made this forum a great place to learn about the game. The sheer amount of information available in the resource library helped me ascend the curve from totally clueless newbie to slightly more clueful oldbie.

 

Let me call out a few people by name.

 

Cyonan, pedroelmz, Mgamerz – you guys figured out how the game actually works.

 

INVADERONE – your YouTube videos were entertaining and watching them made me a better player. (That let to me watching a shedload of other YouTube videos, but this isn’t the YouTube appreciation thread….)

 

TheTechnoTurian – however I’ve got to call out the YouTube mistress of all things Turian. Watching your games gave me an even greater appreciation for the greatest species in Mass Effect.

 

marksmad – you were the first BSNer to go onto my XBOX 360 friends list. I declare you King of the Scrubs, for life. Being XBOX friends with you rapidly led me to…

 

RustyBuckets02 – who was the first person I tried to do a challenge with. We used to play together all the time and maybe you’ll stop being invisible on XBOX someday.

 

Prestacious – speaking of challenges, yours made the game so much more fun.

 

Brannigans 1ove, ctc91, DrakeValencez – my challenge crew and frequent partners in crime. So many awesome games and the three of us did sometimes combine to outscore ctc91.

 

BaileyTFL – another frequent crew member.

 

ark171 (LonerEnforcer) and PurpGuy (SalInfMR) – one of my older crews. I’m still touched that you carried me through so many games back when I was totally sucky.

 

Akir388, ALTBOULI, ClydeInTheShell, David Diablo, nat in the hat, smeckie – we didn’t play that much but I still treasure our time together.

Seriously, JR, those semi-regular evenings of gaming together with you, Rusty, Purp, Ark171, Bailey, Brannigan, and Drake (and numerous others) were some of the best times I've ever had in my long (and scrubby) gaming career. I you all.

 

Your dry wit and terribad limericks(*) always made BSN a better place, while it still lived. Take care, man. Stay in touch. I hope to game together with you again one day.

 

(*) How is it possible that no one has yet necroed the Limerick thread????

Yeah likewise man. Sadly, you met me and Akire towards the end of our stint on ME3 and indeed, Xbox. Otherwise, I'm sure we would have played a lot more. You always stood out to me as a cool, down to Earth kind of guy that was always fun to get a game with. Most importantly, you were always someone I was confident that I wasn't going to get any dramas from, which looking back, is actually surprisingly rare from internet people... It's those qualities that probably got you such a varied group of friends! 

 

But anyway, totally agree with the part I highlighted and I might go down the same road. If you're thinking about getting a PS4, just let me know and I'll send you my PSN. Keep in mind, I might (emphasis on might...) get a Xbone next year if this new version is worth it, but in case I don't, same to you and it was a pleasure meeting you. 

 

Shout out also to a few of the people on your list. I could easily make a sappy list myself, but it's not my style...   Honestly, it's more due to the fact that I'd be worried that I'd miss someone out. But yeah, you guys know who you are and I miss some of you Xbox scrubs that I left behind, as well as those who could never stop playing ME3...   While I appreciate the two scrubs on your list that I still play with, my friend's list on PSN is tiny now...

But seriously, you guys have all been amazing. I'm really gonna miss this place. Hence the username.
That being said, extra props to ALTBOULI and Jugger for being the first to take me under their wings, to Marksmad who still owes me a game, to Cryos_Feron (I really hope I spelled that right) for saving me on that hilarious bronze match, to Nat and Smeckie for blowing me up, to David Diablo for being the Batman to my joker, to SharableHorizon for being a better sniper than I, to the Vorcha President for currying me, and to anyone else who's dragged me kicking and screaming to the finishing line (I have better internet now, I swear).

most of the good players I played with on a reguar basis weren't BSNers (or I didn't know them as BSNers)

but thanks BSN for telling me everything I did successfully was done wrong

 

and for telling me what I already knew that Kroguard Reegar Geth solos are chessy

If I have to be brutally honest..then yep....I'd like to thank myself for taking the chance on this multiplayer, since I dont even like / or play multiplayers...and doing my thing while having a fook-ton of fun at the same time. If it wasnt for me liking this game, then I wouldnt be here to type this thank you to myself for liking this game. Cheers to me, from myself.
