Before long, 'everything' will be read only.  I suggest making copies of emails and discussions that you want to remember, but possibly most important is providing contact information for when everything becomes read only.  I suggest putting the web sites and user names in your status message.

Has anyone seen a plan to migrate the toolset wiki to another location?

I'm at work so needed to be brief since I can barely see what I'm typing on my tablet!

Although I haven't modded Dragon Age for several years, my mods and development diary posts are safe and sound on the Nexus, where I'll be able to be contacted if desired.

It was discussed a while back when it seemed like it might get the axe. Sunjammer said he had access and could dump the database as I recall.

Bioware did not feel the need to answer that question, as far as I know. I'm going with the theory that everything IS everything.  Although without the forums and projects, I have no reason to go to any EA/Bioware site

I've done so much clean up in the last few days that I've forgotten who I've contacted about what, but I THINK I contacted him.

If they were willing to pay for the maintenance costs, they would have said they were just moving the forum to read-only and archiving it for reference. But it's pretty clear the mandate is a clean slate/nuke the entire site from orbit. Given the way they are all inter-related on the backend, I would suggest the likelihood of the projects and wiki being left up is a number so small as to be indistinguishable from zero.

in the days before I had internet at home I would save the wiki pages as web pages to my hard drive when I had a chance to get online with the laptop. as a result I have most of the wiki already. it's the forums I'm going to miss the most. guess I better start browsing posts and start saving those too. how much longer will it be up?

speaking of the web pages i have saved, would it be permissable to put them all in a zip file and upload them to the nexus for other modders to use since they are getting rid of the wiki?

I private messaged Sunjammer asking for his input.

Of course AFTER sending the pm, I moused over his name and found out that he was last logged on yesterday and probably already knows.

It supposedly becomes read only in another 10-14 days and goes away entirely near the end of October.  There are plans in motion to migrate the forums to other sites.  Two social gaming sites have committed to duplicating the forums including the legacy posts.  I am hoping that the migration will be completed soon and I will put the links in my status bar.

YES, it has been migrated:

http://fextralife.co...on-age-toolset/

Follow the instructions on this link to register and get your user name associated with your legacy posts:

I have no feelings about which of the two sites doing the complete forum migration is 'better'.  I will provide the same links to the other sites when their forum migration is complete.  I will not answer any more questions on the Bioware toolset forum (other than discussing the BSN closure) and telling the person which sites are available for their questions.  I'll still answer their questions (when I can) someplace else, but not on BSN.
