I've got a new problem.
Some of the NPC's when I look in the Armor Set window are that far from the center, that at first it appears there is nothing there.
I have to pan right out to see them off in the distance.
It happens to about half the npc's in this area.
How to I get them back near the white diamond?

Good one. I had similar problems to the preview panel. I don't know if anyone has a solution. For me closing the area and reopening works. And you can always scroll in and out and move the area on the preview and armor set panels. So... either a solution I don't know, closing reopening or manually bring the creature closer.

 

I see you have quite some questions and I don't know if you are aware that the forum will close. I suggest migrating to the vault forums or/and to the nexus. It will be nice to see them getting more alive with such questions before this forum closes .

Closing the area, and reloading didn't help. If I made a blueprint from the NPC, & then deleted & replaced her, It would be fixed. but that was more trouble than it was worth. I was just hoping there was a key combination that allowed you to reset them, or at least zoom straight too them, but it hasn't happened enough to be a real nuisance.

And yes, a bit sad about the forums.
I've never been able to register at the new vault. I've tried a few times in the last few years.
I think the problem is, it won't let you refresh the capcha if you can't read it, and I think if you get it wrong a couple of times, it just black flags your IP. (Just a guess) But people ask on GOG every now and then about not being able to register there, and I don't recall any coming back to say they got through.

But Tchos & KevL answer most of my questions anyway, so I can at least get Tchos on the Nexus.

As for the armour set window, I'll take a wild guess and say to check whether the creature is grouped with something else.  Or try to ungroup it.  If it's grouped, it might mess up the centre point in the armour set window.  Select it, right click it, and pick Ungroup, or cut and paste it, because pasting a group ungroups it automatically.  Pasting acts the same as placing from a blueprint, so you'll have to hit Escape to stop pasting copies.

I got the Capcha thing wrong again, but it told me my username & email were already in use.
So it turns out I've been registered there for 10 months.

The ungroup was grayed out, and cut and pasting the NPC made no difference.
But it seems it's just 7 or 8 NPC's on that one map, so not worth worrying about unless it keeps happening.

Send a pm to Rolo Kipp and he'll get you registered. I had the same problem as you.
