I did a search.  Maybe the answer I am looking for isn't actually anywhere.

Did they accidentally add an extra 0 to the aim time property, or did they intend the stat to be what it was?  Dev ever comment on it?

I have a fix installed and did RtO on my solo archer yesterday.  I don't really know that these things are that valuable at -0.3s.  Of course there is plenty of gear that isn't necessarily valuable, but on the other hand there is plenty of dlc gear that is extremely powerful.

Into rambling territory, but I thought it was weird rapid aim property is all over the place anyway.  Some subtract 0.1, some 0.3, some 1.0 ...

I definitely vote for bugged, I don't remember there being a specific Dev comment on this.  But I also don't think I saw anyone who thought them anything but bugged.

Normal Aim time on Longbows is 0.3

Rapid Aim property on bows etc, is -0.3.

-3.0 is way over the top for anything. This was almost certainly a decimal point in the wrong place bug.

Rapid aim property seems to be listed in tenths of a second, so default Repeater has 30 for that stat.  Dunno if someone forgot that these were tenths and not hundredths, or if they wanted to do it.  Probably bugged, but then again -0.3s seems like it isn't really in the same realm of OP-ness compared to a lot of the other paid dlc equipment. :)

It doesn't have to be OP, to be a bug.

Considering how buggy this game is. Bug is always your first choice answer. :D

To my knowledge devs have never commented. Large values don't do anything bar negate the aim penalty, but whether that was their intention or not...

Soon™ I intend to release an extension to detailed tooltips that will, amongst other things, show the effect of rapid aim.

Yeah.  I had forgotten to put the glove fix in override the last time I messed with moving mods around.  So pick up Repeater... had been running Rapid Shot nearly exclusively.  Triggered Wynne's first random encounter and had to switch to Defensive... then thought "hmmm I seem to still be firing really fast."  Had to manually nerf them with toolset.  Then my rogue was sad since he was back to mediocre or worse again.

It was real tempting to "unfix" this for this character, about as much as Sorrows was calling for me to equip it earlier.  At least I have Far Song now.

Yeah, archery's general crappiness is why I treat it as a feature rather than a bug.

They only affect aim time.

Aim time of a regular bow is 0.3 seconds.  Rapid Aim feature on bows is -0.3 seconds, bringing it to zero.

Which is why I am certain they were intended to be -0.3. To bring non-rapid aim bows down to zero as well.

Repeater gloves won't bring aim below zero. If your bow has rapid aim, and nothing else is in play, they should do nothing.

Main use of repeater gloves, seems to be exploiting bugged excess is to eliminate the penalty for the "Aim" sustain.

^Rapid Aim feature on some bows is -0.3.  It is -0.1 for Dalish Longbow and -1.0 for Sorrows of Arlathan.
