Probably right - it's the only explanation if you don't believe the one they cooked up (which I think is a lie - just like the cake!)...it also explains why they weren't engaging with us more on the forums:

 

They don't want to hear it - neither our criticism nor our advice and tipps etc. on how to make their games better/fix things that show up in existing games! - because they want to stay in their own little world where no one would dare tell them that they'd done fucked stuff up (repeatedly so in fact, I mean their games have been going downhill ever since DA2 was release - I mean only ME3 was, IMHO, total trash, but even the other two games (DA2 and DA:I) weren't as good as earlier Bioware games, so we KNOW that they can do better (note: Maybe it's because a lot of really good people - writers, programmers etc. - have left? Note: I am not saying that everybody who remains is bad at their job, but when they employ guys like that white-tears-anti-white-racist and that GTA Online virtual rape chick then I do question their sanity because IMHO bigots should NOT have a place in the industry, none what so ever - not even to clean the floors and toilets in the building!))

Considering that BioWare is doing everything in their power to alienate their hardcore fans (and I don't mean sycophants with their passive-aggressive "Y U NO LIEK BIOVER?!??!" bullcrap), you know, those that buy all their games, all the DLCs, including cosmetics and stuff and other BW related merchandise, that stick with them for decades, in favor of unwashed masses, that buy the game and are out before first DLC.

Yes, I'm expecting it to suck beyond the telling of it. CoD in space, go fetch exploration, F4-style half-baked settlement/colony building (without mod support so people can fix it), even worse multiplayer RNG store, disconnects all around, you name it. I AM expecting any and all of it. I don't care in the slightest if you agree with my OPINION or not.

Ball's in BioWare's court to prove me wrong, preferably before release. But see me, not holding a breath over here.


(I'm actually hoping that they'll make a good game, at least multiplayer part, but expecting it? That I really don't.)

I believe the reason we are closing is exactly because we aren't getting anything and we won't be getting anything anytime soon.

After the forums are closed, Bioware will likely drop the bomb and make official what Gamespot has made oficial for quite a long time now: MEA is coming in December 2017.
