I think having any of the villains from the original trilogy is a bad idea. Please, no more reapers. Dear god, please no more reapers.
The whole point off going to Andromeda is to have a new beginning, one that the series massively needs after the debacle that was the ending of ME3.

Yes, actually, that's exactly what they're born as. The only thing separating "baseless speculation" and "rumor" is the amount of people repeating it.

A family member I guess, either your bother or (and?) your sister (might be both? who knows; or just one). I do have the feeling that the family member in Andromeda will be "fixed" to male (and being your brother). It's probably not going to vary between either brother or sister. But that's just my gut feeling talking here, could be something (or rather, someone) else entirely.
But yeah, the whole "it's gonna be a family problem" concept seems to be what Andromeda's main story arc is going for.
