I searched on google and the forum but only found vague stuff. So will Andromeda be windows 10 exclusive or not? I ask because I'm going to buy windows for ME:A and don't want windows 10 since I tested it and don't like it.
Is ME:A going to be Windows 10 exclusive or not?

That will not happen.
However, I really hope they make this game available to run in DirectX12 and/or Vulkan.

Well, I'm certainly not going to buy the abomination of W10 just for ME:A.
Considering how the big software and social media corporation are treating privacy these days, games like Watch Dogs are becoming very close to reality.

Well... the hacks of Watch Dogs has already become reality. Have been for a while now, I think. It's not all on corporations, it's also on people in how they handled their security. A fair number of people go for efficiency and convenience over security and caution.
Additionally, there will always be security risks that you cannot predict and prevent even if you are an incredible paranoid person and this is coming from an incredible paranoid person.

Microsoft now knows everything about me that my ISP already knows. How horrible.

Maybe it'll be like Max Payne 3, where you could choose whether to render the game in the latest DX version (11 at the time), or if your computer couldn't handle it, DX10 or DX9 was also available.
The optimal settings might require DX12 and Windows 10, but the lower settings might be able to render it with DX11.

If you own windows 7 or 8 i think you can get a free upgrade. Its really not that bad at all. Having the start bar back is particularly nice.

The thing is, people should have a choice. Windows 10 is not offering that choice, it simply comes fully equipped to gather whatever data Microsoft might desire.
And the fact that there are always security threats, doesn't mean that you should open your front door for a literal Trojan horse.
Microsoft now knows everything about me that my ISP already knows. How horrible.
You know, that's how the slippery slope works. Microsoft is has access to just a tiny little bit more information than your ISP.
And in five years the next stage would be even more invasive.
At which point do you stop feeling comfortable? When the data falls to the hands of a hacker that blackmails you, or when it is sold to the highest bidder and your computer habits are analyzed every time you ask the bank for a loan, or want to work in a large company?

One would think it will have DX12 Support, much like DX:MD despite being A Steam PC release.

PC release will be on Origin. Doubt EA want to give more $$$ to MS than they have too.

Not sure how including DX12 support means more money for Microsoft. Using the Windows Store would mean money for Microsoft, just like using Steam is money for Valve.

Exactly why it won't be Windows 10 exclusive. It seems games can support DX12 without being tied to the Windows store. Not sure how including DX12 support means more money for Microsoft. Using the Windows Store would mean money for Microsoft, just like using Steam is money for Valve.

I forgot to mention.
I doubt that any PC game will be DX12 exclusive until Microsoft drops official support for any operating system that was released prior to Windows 10, which means at the earliest I could see a PC game that requires DX12 would be in 2018 at the very earliest.

Nope.
It will be Twitter/Tumblr people exclusive.

It totally dumbfounds me the amount of "WIN 10" haters that haven't even tried it....., just like sheep.., they all follow the Win 10 is garbage because it's Microsoft..., Huh.
I would not think it would be exclusive for any operating system.., that wouldn't be very clever of any gaming company.., but please, stop the "I hate Win 10"if you haven't even had the decency to try it.
I have tried them all.., from Win 3.1 onwards and think Win 10 is as good or better than Win XP and certainly better than Win 7 or 8/8.1.
I have not had a single piece of hardware or software that has not run on it yet and if you are worried about security concerns...., don't for 1 second think "YOUR" operating system company is not collecting data on you.
Cheers

"Wire me $10,000, or I'll leak your entire search history to all of your friends and loved ones."

Same. I skipped the free Windows 10 update. I'll only get it when more games require it

Its not free anymore, ended in July sometime if i recall. Apparently there is still a way to get it for free if you use assistive devices and such

Well, blackmail isn't realistic for me. As for credit scores, I don't see how more data collection will make that any worse than the current system.
Obviously, those things are merely examples.
The point is, once all your private data is out, you have no control over what happens to it.
Private data can be used for a large variety of sinister purposes, social engineering is no laughing matter.

That wouldn't even make sense, from a financial standpoint. That cuts the potential revenue from the game by like 90%.
