Hi, I preordered the collectors edition of Mass Effect 2. In Poland. Where EA informed us that we would have the ability to change the game language to english without problems. This option is disabled and you have to change language in SKU file from POL to INT. Not a problem for me. But from what I know, this will change voice only, and I've heard that text files in english are not there. That I would need english BIOGame_INT.tlk file. (not 100% sure since the game I preordered will arrive to me tomorrow)

Well last time I had similar trouble with Dragon Age, but I found out the file I need was not installed but... It was on the DVD so I copied it and had fully working english subtitles. (you can change voice in menu in DragonAge)
I just want to ask IF this will be possible this time too? To get subtitles file from dvd? I just don't know if this will be basic game (full english) + language dvd.

And if not, could anyone possibly make this file downloadable? EA should just make a patch in my opinion. But any way that'll work will be good for me. In the worst case scenario I would have to wait with playing, download non-legit version of game just to get 1 stupid file. As I understand the law, that would be legit since I own the game, but I find no pleasure in downloading many gb's just to get a small file.

I hope for a quick answer. I really want to have everything prepared for tomorrow

Hi,

I've the same issue with the only difference that I live in Czech Republic :-(

All texts are in Czech + the only other options I have is to install in PL or HU... none of these options suits to me - I want to have the game purely in English.

If you'll be successful with full English mod please drop a line here. - I'll do the same...

Hi,

I really don't understand why this option is disabled. Nevertheless, you can solve this by opening Mass Effect 2\\data\\sku.ini and there you find these options. I have the czech/poland/hungarian version.

Hi,

Thanks a lot, I have found the the stuff around sku.ini, but I haven't the proper file with English lang files. You saved my sanity :-) I have been pretty pissed off when i found out that I have bought this way crippled game and there is no "official" way how to enjoy it in pure English.

Lol, when I found out that I bought it in Polish only, I wasted my bandwidth for 3 nights downloading an english version from "other sources".

I changed both txt and vocals to english. Looks like that Ufon Ufonius found it out too I had the biggest problem with the english file, thx god someone uploaded it for me. Thx for help anyway!
