Hi everyone,

I've been searching for a while on how the damage of fade touched proc skill apply but couldnt find any anwser. The question is fairly simple:

Using 5 hit hidden blades fade touched. I understand that each hit deals 100% weapon damage (for a total of 500%) but im confusing about the "weapon damage" part.

Let say weapon sheet damage (show on character's attributes tab) is 100 and the strike that proc fade touched HD is 3000 damage. Will i get 100 x 5 or 3000 x 5 ??

Any help is appreciated.

3000 x 5

Otherwise you would have a 10% chance to do 500% extra damage....would be not so powerful

Pretty sure it's not the 3000x5.  The only fade-touched I know of, that will key off of the damage dealt that proc'd it, is Walking Bomb.  Most will key off of your weapon base damage.  But it's more complicated than 100x5.

[WeaponDmg * (1 + CritDmg%) * (1 + FlankDmg%) * (1 + BarrierDmg%) * (1 + GuardDmg%) - Armor *(1 -ArmorPen%)] * (1 + Attk%) * AbilityMultiplier%
  • CritDmg%, FlankDmg%, BarrierDmg%, GuardDmg% and AbilityMultiplier% only apply when applicable.
  • Armor applies only to physical attacks.
  • Damage Calculator: https://mega.co.nz/#...16cRqS4Gqaalg2g (contains attack % vs AP % spreadsheet)

So, it depends on a lot of stats.

... I was going to do the math but realized how tired I am.  It all depends on the enemy armor too.  But as you can see, your attack%, crits, flanking, etc will all help.

Thank you for your anwsers. So fade touched that proc physical damage will be calculated normally like a regular cast.

I'm aware that WB explosion damage (when triggered) rely on the dmg number that proc it, but only if you are running a nerco.

What if im a rogue, deal a nuke strike (150000+) and trigger WB, how will the DoT and Explosion turn out (assume 100% weapon damage explosion)?

Actually I think if you time to git lucky and have it proc (it being walking bomb) on a 150K+ mark of death you will see 150k spirit dots, and a very big explosion. But the chance of triggering on a mark of death hit is just very very rare as it is not a common ability you spam most of the time. You are more likely to get it off of a hidden blades use if you are an assassin.

I think a tempest or artificer using throwing blades pincusion/ precision targeting would have some great success as getting 20k+ spirit dots from a walking bomb masterwork though.

Small note: that formula isn't correct. Armor gets subtracted first, before any other modifiers take effect. Also crit damage and flank damage stack additively, not multiplicatively.

Noted.

And it seems only the explosion of WB will mirrow the damage that trigger it, the DoT is hardly noticable (Using Coil daggers with tier 4 crafting mats, DoT shows around 400 damage per tick).
