Why is it theres no assistance for us about game not responding to login, lets you enter info, no way to complete, login disabled. No info on repairs, how are we supposed to utilise the adons in game or our online accounts if game doesnt login. There is no INFO at all about his on any of the sites available, looks like 3 or 4 damned sites for this game and no help at all, big circle jerk as far as getting taken to several of these sites...ea, bioware or DA site, all are useless as far as fix or answering the issues. Others are on and working. Calls dont get through to live help. All info leads to nothing.
Even the helper apps that they recommend dont do a thing to assist or dont do anything. Please antone with similar issues, post it. As far as the game it works, but not to what it is supposed to do. Spend extra for extras that arent usable.... there are no areas to set up connection through game. No help in files to address it. Is it not there. It seems to me part of the game code is gone for login. Someone out there knows....

I can access accounts on all websites
I can play game

Game does NOT login or will it let me login, no tech help to locate where to correct this, all the chat, help and support sites totally useless... no response on anysites that is helpful from anyone associated with game.

ive been getting that since launch, a bioware guy say they were looking into it and they'd have an update soon

I went to the official Dragon Age Support site, sent them this question about 26-30 hours ago



still no response from them



and its definitely a problem on their end, ive done all the port forwarding, network options, account and password changes and nothing works

I don't have much control as far as internet because I am on a college campus. But I am certain it is not an issue of that.



Its been happening since day one...

Yea, i set all ports, system is fine, of the 3 forum sites ive been in, None has a response, nor are there any posts from game designers, just forum ghouls(moderators)

Cant get through to live call line....

wish i could cancel payment on them..

No one even has or seems to have game login info for setup...

game doesnt even have area to setup this login screen

just a dead screen, with only option to close, great joke on the designers part i fear..

seems a way to get cash n run...

alot of probs n no answers from the responsible parties..

and why do they have help on config utility? one goes to EA, one is DEAD, and one goes to bioware community.

and config doesnt let you config! whats that about? shows info, but no where is there a configuration setup..

I know all that info its my damned machine...

so y do i need to see it..its a useless utility..

AND WHY ARE WE NOT GETTING ANY RESPONSE FROM GAME MAKERS?

Don't you love to be ignored...

I think all sales went to the 2 guys running this game scam and theyre in cabul now...

OK seems issue is with windows login setup and game.

They had me remove account info for vista, and enter

(Try typing this into your command prompt (cmd):

netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled)

while running as admin, didnt help

Seems i got escalated and am waiting reply within 24 as per phone support, email says 48-72 hours...

Sounded really busy as for support, background noise was unbelievable, so they seem to be crazy with calls..

or maybe guy was at a party when i talked to him,lol

ok not laughing sry

Illcontinue to try to get it up on my end...better than sitting round mad...

anyone gets it done yell back..

Yep, i tried the command prompt thing and all the port forwarding. This game was delayed for over half a year and this fundamental function is f'd? Yeh its cool you guys gave us Shale and that Armour but we CANT DOWNLOAD IT. FIX THIS. Im so sick of getting the "cannot connect to Dragonage Servers, please try again". It CANNOT be a problem with my connection, this is literally the first game with an online function that blatantly wouldn't let me connect. HOW ABOUT A REPLY?! I actually got through to that long distance EA support call line, 45 minutes later he couldn't tell me sh*t. He was a cool guy and all but that doesn't matter. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO LOG ON THIS IS RIDICULOUS

I am also getting the please try again message.  I called EA and they said that it is Bioware's problem.  They said everything on thier end looks fine with my account. Arrgh!

I THINK this was the same problem, but I can't be sure...



DA:O starts, at the main menu I click the Log In button, screen comes up. Type in my PW, click Log In. Waiting bar comes up, runs for a few, then in the background it says "You are not currently connected to the internet. Please try again later." . I check everything, even the in-menu DLC menu worked fine, just not Log In.



Just ran it as Admin (also using Vista) works now. Mebbe try it... :/

I'm playing xbox 360 version and I'm getting hassled to connect to apparently nonresponsve servers as well! It's worked fine all week til today. Hello, if it must have servers required to run this slowloading beasty then Saturday afternoon is a bad time for scheduled downtime. A notice on the forums that 'hey, we've screwed the pooch today' would also be nice. Go ask Blizzard and Sony how to work with players who expect to play the game they bought when they want to play it.

Yeah I got this problem too. I got a new machine with windows 7. Though I did have this same problem with same machine but with vista. I keep telling myself not to buy any game software until it has been out for a month. Yet I keep going out and buying new games and getting angry. I guess that makes me an optomist. I keep thinking these companies know what they are doing and each time they let me down. :(

Well support said they would contact me within 24 hours, email said 72, its been over that and nothing in email from them. No changes to playability, game still wont connect to servers at all, after trying everything on forums, several times.

Game runs...I loaded patch, got it working...but game refuses to even try to connect.

Enough, EA, BIOWARE, needs to do something for us. None of the extra content is available, ive played past 2 different instances that offered extra with a download option. I cant use any of the extras promised if I would pay more!..

In todays gaming communitiy, you would think that the download or online part would be working before release. Esp for a known op sys, not like hteres a whole lot of choices, WINDOWS is WINDOWS...

I collectively scream obsenities at you EA n BIOWARE!

I have the same problem it sucks when i try to connect it says cannot try again later whatever then i ran it as an admin and tried to log on it said connecting but it was taking a long time so i fell asleep then i got up and it still didnt connect

I would like to know WHY i have to connect to their servers to play a one player game. I live in the country, on crappy satellite.. i play videogames when it rains and i lose net connection. i bought this one player game specifically because i dont want to be logged in to the net to relax.
Furthermore, i paid money to be screwed like this. if i were to just play the one player game without ever updating anything, that would be fine. but only after you PURCHASE new content from them, do you have to then be logged in. and now, after purchasing the content and playing for awhile, all my saves involved the content i purchased, so i cant load any saves, because i cant log into the server.
I just want an answer as to why this horrible way of doing things is being used. i've never seen a one player computer game that you couldnt play if not connected to the net. why is it necessary in the first place? why cant i DOWNLOAD downloadable content on my account, to my computer, then USE it... sort of like every other game that has ever involved downloadable content. whichever genius thought that requiring ppl to log into ea servers for a one player game needs to be shot. i'd return this game if i could, for how horribly its run.

Well if they dont fix the DLC they I WILL edit my DLC to make it appear to the game as a user generated content so it DOESNT have to contact the servers. I suggest BW/EA solve this issue and NOW before the gaming community hacks the DLC files so they dont have any DRM. When people are like ryako above they get annoyed. When people like me who are going to my grandparents for a week WAAAAYYYY out in the country with NO internet at all, I wont be able to play my game. If BW/EA hasn't fixed this by wed, you can bet your arse by then my DLC will be altered so the game sees it as USER created content and not BW created.. and yes I have the skills to do just that.

BW you should have your heads examined for creating content like this. This is a SINGLE PLAYER GAME! It should validate the DLC content MAYBE once a week. MAYBE. and shouldn't freak out and corrupt save files if you loose internet while you are playing.



I've supported BW for yrs. I LOVE the company. LOVE the games. but this new way of doing things is for the birds.
