A sincere thank you to the community and devs that interacted with us

With the impending closure of this forum, I wanted to take a little time to send out some heartfelt thanks to this community of people that helped make the MP experience what it was for me and so many others.  I had the chance to play games with a large portion of the xbox community and definitely wish I had the chance to game with others on PC and PS3, but alas, time and life were always factors.  I never truly thought this game would have been so captivating to me, but it really nailed what I was looking for when they initially announced the MP for the game.  Despite the flaws of the game, the overall experience was wonderful and the people I met and interacted with were what kept me coming back.

To the devs, thank you guys for being so interactive with the community as the game was molded into what it became.  Waiting each week for Eric to announce the balance changes, and watching the immediate fallout, was always such a blast.  Brojo was such a great ambassador to the community and I hope he has a long tenure with Bioware.  Watching the devs come to the forum and communicate with us as players and listen to our feedback really made it feel like we were involved in the game as a whole from our outsiders perspective.  This will truly be missed going forward without the forums.

To my fellow players, it has been fun gaming with you, debating with you and generally having some laughs along the way.  This place has always felt different to me than other gaming and non-gaming forums I have been involved with over the years.  We had the typical lunatics, but overall the willingness of the majority to help and work together was what made this place stand apart.  I look forward to running into those of you as I return to this game in anticipation of ME:A.  I hope to see you all as the next game ramps up.

Once more, I leave you with this video that accurately depicts my level of enjoyment with this game:

Yes. This is how it should end. Let's be grateful about what we got, and not bitter about what we lost.

It is a sad day for the community. I have had so many good times on ME3 MP and BSN during the years. I made some new friends and I had a lot of fun pissing people off as well. I sincerely want to thank you all for making this a truly amazing experience and a part of my life that I will always remember. And to anyone that I offended during this time with my behaviour I just want to say that it was all in good sport. And Boogie, send my regards to your mother one last time!

Thanks for all you guys and I hope I'll see you again somewhere else when ME4 comes out!

I can safely say the forums and the community here made ME3 10 times better! I can't even imagine what Andromeda will be like without an official forum, half the things in ME3 multiplayer were balanced changed or fixed because of this forum. Without the forums and the community here, I wouldn't have played half as much as I did.

Farewell to the best forum community that I have been a part of and thanks to anyone that I played with here!

This was the first forum that I ever really spent a lot of time in. Meeting people, making friends, this was a fun place in it's heyday. Too all the people who made this place great, the ones still here and the ones who are gone.

And may we meet again.

This was the first MP game I ever played with strangers and I was really terrified to try it at first. I had heard horror stories about other MP games and imagined I'd be so lousy I'd spend all my time dead and being teabagged by 15 year olds. I even tried playing as a bronze solo initially because I was afraid my lousy gameplay would just bring the team down. I died on wave 1 without killing anything. Another three tries like that and I said "well, ****, I need people to protect me!"   and I jumped into public games. I never looked back.

This community has been really obnoxious and juvenile and knowledgeable and helpful and fun. The people I've met playing this game have patiently carried me and taught me and given me many good laughs over the past 4 years. I've played with people from all over the world, all united in our love for this game.

ME3MP saved the Mass Effect universe for me. At last I could have what I wanted from the SP trilogy: the opportunity to work with a diverse team of badasses and WIN.

So, many heartfelt thanks to everyone here (and of course the devs) from this old sumo wrestler and I hope to see you in MEAMP! (... But probably not for the first year because I'll be spending 600+ hours on bronze. :P)

This thread's spirit is one I can actually share and appreciate.

Of the six+ years I was on this site, the most fun I had was definitely in this section during 2012. It was the first time I was involved with a multiplayer community, and despite all the crazy internet nonsense, it was legitimately fun and actually productive, thanks to the dev interaction and their efforts in making and improving the game, as well as the players contribution enriching the experience.

I really do miss that time.

Don't worry, Biovar have a plan.

FB and Twitter will do everything BSN have done for us, just 10 times better!

We will have so much fun when ME:A launches, personally I will always be fully up to date on everything through FB and Twitter (which I refuse to use!)

Lol, this.

And thanks to all the pugs for spending so much time playing with me. I know you enjoyed it, but anyway - I appreciate your time spent doing the right thing.

I joined the ME3MP section rather very late (I sort of feared you guys a lot - you were the know-it-all-gods and I was just a noob :D ) but enjoyed it immensely while it lasted

And a lot of us (yes - I eventually considered myself a part of the ME3MP-bunch) found a new and very comfortable home at

http://bsn.boards.net

and also yes: a great thank you to the devs who interacted with us (I witnessed this on DA:I MP and enjoyed it)

Fear? I was a noob once too. That's why you go to a forum: To complain about the stuff you do not understand. Ignorance is bliss after all.

Thanks Heroic for writing this, it needed to be said and even pulled me out of lurk mode :). I've enjoyed my interactions with you all (cue everyone saying "who hell he?'), and I'm glad to have played with a number of you.

It probably won't go down well, but although I don't understand or agree with the decision to axe BSN, we should give Bioware credit for not just wiping it overnight, but giving us time to say goodbye (or organize alternatives). I'm sure they (legitimately) worried about an instant unending sh*tstorm until zero hour.

Hasta la vista babies :)

Well written, Heroic, thanks for that. This forum was always special, and that's due to all the people contributing.

@dafyddr: Lol, I can't remember you're from here, but I know I used to run into you from time to time back in the old days :)

So very much agreed with this (except the part about not getting past wave 1 on my first Bronze solo while avoiding the public experience... I made it to wave 2 or 3  :P ).

I'd also like to echo the appreciation for the developers' participation with us through this forum (and in game).
