Ahem. Most of the things I would like to tell BW were already voiced.TL;TR version: I'm hurt and confused by decision to close the forum, but it can't be helped. I look forward to your new games, BioWare, and wish all the best.As for fellow forum regulars whom I became acquainted here and some of which I dare to call friends... See you on the other side.
DAME!!! Don't leave me. ![]()
DAME!!! Don't leave me.
Hey, buddy! Stop it or I hug you..

Hey, buddy! Stop it or I hug you..
It's not the place that's making it worth, but the company. Let's just drink.
No hugs! Cheers, mate. To whatever crazy adventures we can create after the closure.
I'll keep most of my thoughts to myself. What I would be willing to share, was already said way better in 'concerning our forum' thread.
I'll only add something simple.
This forum was great while it lasted.
Hope to see at least some of you on one of fanmade lifeboats.
Thanks to everyone who shared their feelings here - and to those who didn't, thank you too!
Everything will be alright. All the feedback shows that the community is not going to disappear just like this. There's plenty of new places to go, http://bsn.boards.net/ and http://fextralife.com/forums/f95/ in particular (for those who are not aware yet).
Good luck and all the best!

Yay!
*cough*

I am not one for goodbyes but I would like to say good luck BioWare and all your forthcoming games and it is sad you no longer want us here.
I will miss all the discussions everyone had with all the people that agreed or disagreed with me and hope to see you in one of the places in my signature.
See you round the Universe. (or is it in Andromeda)
I am more an occasional visitor and a lurker, but I also want to say my adieu to everyone.
I'll miss the level of sophistication the majority of discussions has displayed in this forum (despite having some despicable people posting as well).
Well, I joined up after Mass Effect 1 had released around 2008 back before the bioware forums made the switch to being social.bioware. Although I mainly lurked, I did enjoy stopping by these forums to read up on whatever other fans were posting about. I really enjoyed hanging around the femshep thread, posting picture of my Player Characters, seeing all the amazing artwork done by fans, and hanging around in Off-Topic between releases before it was unceremoniously trashed. This was the only game forum I even participated in too, thanks to spending so much time playing Mass Effect.
Goodbye, I hope to spot some of you other fans in and around the other fan forums.
Well, it's been a weird and wonderful last five years... where should I even begin?
(Beware Chickens!)
While I don't agree with the reasons for the closing of this forum, nor the sheer lack of candor from those responsible, I have to state my admiration for all of you in the community who have rallied to find new homes for us so we might continue on in some form. You deserve all the praise in the world!
From the bottom of my socks, I thank you all. For the good times, the bad times, the great laughs, the mad debates, for the sense of community, the friends and giving me a reason to smile on the days when I needed to the most.
So wherever you might find yourselves in the future, may you continue to debate lore with joy and/or frustration, find yourselves among great friends and make those communities as warm and inviting as I've often found this one to be.
Remember to play nice, be polite, never accept advice given by complete and utter madman... and most important of all, just have fun.
(But seriously, remember what I said about the Chickens...)
Hope to see you all around! ![]()

I wanted a gif of cassandra's end of trespasser approval nod but couldn't find one, you can imagine it instead.
I respect that people want to say their goodbyes, I said mine and everyone deserves that right.
However, now that this forum's life is to be measured in hours, I would like to invite the botmods to please introduce themselves to the business end of a pear of anguish
would you kindly

I see what you did there.
Bye all, its been fun. The BSN is dead, long live the ©BSN
I have been a fan of Bioware games since Balder's Gate and have been lurking and posting on the Bioware Boards for many years. I check the board everyday, and half the time I am astounded by how clever and creative- how well-read and knowledgeable so many posters are - not only about the games, but about history, politics and religion. It gives me hope that we are not all just mindless gamers - but educated, and sophisticated critical thinkers.
I don't pretend to understand Bioware's decision to shut the site down but it has been a bitter pill to swallow. Clearly Bioware has not read the vast, vast majority of posts which actually celebrate their games. Clearly they don't understand how much this forum has meant to their fans, and how many new fans have been created because of this forum... which of course translates to sales....
Well a big shout out to all you wonderful posters. I fully expect to read your brilliance in one of the new forums that have been created.
And Bioware, you should be thanking all your fans at this site, We have invested hours and hours and hours of time, oodles of money into your games in no small part to the loyal fans on this site....
Your silence to date has been the salt in the wound. I hope you show us a modicum of respect by saying farewell and thanking your fans....and by acknowledging the bad taste this decision has left your loyal fans with....
BSNers.... you rock!
