So, after being right about Saren, after being right about the Geth, after being right about the Reapers, and after stopping all of them, while saving the lives of the Council, the bloody Council STILL doesn't believe you. They sent you on pointless Geth chases and when you die they completely bury any mention of the Reapers.

How the hell did these three rise to power again? You'd think that after everything you've done they would AT LEAST investigate any claims you make. But no they simply brush you off when you go back to them.

Wow Please Bioware let me put a bullet in that Turian Counciler in ME 3

Anyways to add an actual discussion topic to this thread. What do you all think will hapen with our Council decisions in ME 3 and do you regret letting them die/saving them in ME 2.

At least only my FemShep Paragon let them live. All my other playthroughs including my main canon let them die. And yes... the Turian Counselor is an even bigger dick this time around.

They wanted to make sure you could see that even being a full paragon and saving everyone would not mean they would be chanting "all hail king shephard" upon your return... they are politicians first... the fact you hate them means bioware did their job well haha.

Indeed, the new council refuses to help you in any shape or form least the old one gave you your spectre status back, even though it's just a title now.

I regret nothing! Besides they can't train me to listen because they don't have enough badges...

I didn't kill the council in the save that I imported, leaving them alive so I could see what happened to them in ME2. I went to talk to the council the first time after two years and they haven't changed even though I saved their lives.

The turian councilor... He just hates your guts even if you're pure paragon.

In ME3, I hope there is a chance to let the die/live like in the first one as well, or maybe just allow certain members to die. If I could seriously reform the council with the other species still on it, it would include the devious and hawt Liara, Executor Pallin (One of the turians that I liked that's a politician), and someone to throw off the council completely for a Salarian... Mordin.

Or a reject council: Krogans, Elcor, and Volus mmmmm excellent.

Well they did apparently go to Ilos and try to investigate your claims about Vigil, and found the VI too damaged to be of any further use, so you can sort of understand why they suddenly forgot everything you did for them the first time around. Not to mention most of Sovereign split up and hit the Wards in tiny pieces that were then either looted or destroyed upon or shortly after impact, so they couldn't go into the ship itself and see the indoctrination process at work or see that it's scope was beyond the abilities of the Geth.

That said though, I did want to put a bullet in their heads when I found them again. Stupid holograms...

Couldn't you tell them about the derelict Reaper? Or did you blow that up? I think you may have blown that up :/

In other words, they're still a poorly written adaptation of the cliched police captain who yells at the hero cop for not doing all his paperwork. They exist to ham-handedly make the audience dislike them, so that the audience can extract some satisfaction when they get their comeuppance.

Yes, it's true to space-opera genre conventions, but that doesn't excuse poor writing.

I am eager to see what happens when I visit the citidel after I beat the game, if any dialog changes or anything like that.

It all stems from bad writing - not taking into account the narrative flow and continuity from the first game.
