Reading the codex about armor it states that the shields and ablative armor deplete first, then life support systems are last. It would be interesting to see technicians to not only take on an anti/shield/mech role but to also have a skill that when the player takes damage with shields down to zero it could damage his life/shield support systems. This could be an effective way to transition them from a class that is primarily anti mech with some support to a much more useful auxiliary class that would still maintian its combat effectiveness.
