Im playing ME2 on xbox 360, and despite repeated attempts around it, i keep getting a bug thats preventing me from actually using research i buy on illium. Despite buying the research, upon leaving illium and boarding the normandy, i cant find it anywhere in the research menu, and for some reason it appears on my already purchased upgrades menu(with how ME2 is set up, its pretty much impossible for me to tell if their actually active).

When all this happened i headed to illium on disc 2, going to complete miranda's loyalty quest, but took a few detours, completed a few quests, aswell as purchasing bypass module, tech damage, and assault rifle damage. Since i use assault rifles and a tech user(tali) i decided to head back to the normandy to purchase the upgrades, but upon checking the research section, none of the research i had purchased would show up. I tried loading from a slightly earlier save where id only bought bypass module and tech damage, and did mirandas loyalty quest, but upon completing it, the research was still no where to be found(though the research from miranda's quest was there). Since then i loaded from a save from 1 hour earlier, and even went down with different party members(first went with tali and miranda, but this time i went down with jack and zaeed) and purchased the same researchs again, with the exact same results. I even went to the trouble to do it repeatedly, buying one thing at a time and still got the same results.

Its probably worth noting that upon boarding the normandy on illium, i was unable to skip the departure video. I honestly cant remember if i could skip it before, but considering you can with all the others, i cant think of a good reason why you cant at illium.

I tried playing around buying stuff at illium, did several missions including the miranda loyalty mission, and then decided to go to tuchanka. Once again i have the same problem, i bought the heavy weapon ammo upgrade, went back to my ship(didnt have a problem ending the departure video), and failed to get a alert about the heavy weapon ammo upgrade research being unlocked. I went to the research station and found it not in there, went to the upgrade one and had it listed as already researched. Should note that i bought several pieces of armor aswell and they all showed up on my armor customization station in my room.



I figured if it was just illium i could deal with not buying it, but tuchanka too is just to much.
