I survived... but not flawlessly. Even after all my prep-work I lost Grunt and Miranda. Still don't understand how.

Legion - Tech Specialist

All the crew made it out alive. Had Tali and Garrus stuck to me like glue the whole time.

Just beat it with my soldier. used legion for the vents, garrus as team leader, miranda as the 2nd squad leader, and thane as an escort.

Yep, had my first playthrough finished, unfortunately Garrus didn't make it out alive, he was my tech guy and for his efforts he was rewarded with a rocket to the face. Well another rocket to the face.

I did every crew members quest to gain thier loyalty, i also explored EVERY cluster and planet, i still had to hit a few after getting the IFFbut before the test that results in the crew capture. I am a cleaner when it comes to these types of games, and i kind of figured once you did the IFF test there ws no turning back or the clock started ticking so i made sure everyone was happy before i let EDI run her test. It was kind of a give away that EDI wanted everyone on a shuttle for the test so i approached it cautiously.



For the final mission i chose the following for these roles



My team consisted of the following and it never changed Me, Samara, and Grunt.

Garrius led anytime i needed to have an alternate leader, because he is the man.

For the escort of the crew i chose Mordin, as he seemed the best choice, but it was a gamble when i made it and now i see it was the best choice.

The biotic to hold the shield was Samara, i was not sure if my specialists were automatic targets so i placed myself in front of Samara as we walked through.

I lost Thane as i sent him through the vents but i will replay it and choose to send Tali through instead.



I got all my crew back and the only one i lost was Thane, so with the replay i intend i should be able to get everyone through safely.

Here's what happened for me:

1st team leader: Miranda
Ducts: Thane

2nd team leader: Miranda
Biotic Shielder: Jack
Crew Escort: Tali

Thane died, everyone else made it, including crew. Maybe i should have used Tali or Legion for the Tech Specialist part, but I thought the person in the vents would be more about Stealth/Survivability. Unfortunately, I think since he wasn't as tech-savvy as the others, it took him to long to close the doors and he got shot.

Edit: forgot to mention, full loyalty and all ship combat upgrades

Made it through with Thane being the only casualty.



Used Tali for the vents, Had Garrus lead the second squad. For the escort I used Jacob. Samara for the shield, and Thane for the distraction. For the finale I took Tali and Jack.

Tech Specialist: Tali, since she's the best Tech Specialist...period. And I say that with an Shepard who was an engineer herself. 
 

First diversion leader: Garrus, experience with leading teams and in combat. I mean come on Garrus was part of the Turian military, part of C-Sec, had worked with his group on Omega. The guy knows how to lead a team. Took Miranda and Samara with my Shepard.


Second diversion team: Again Garrus, for the same reason as before. Took Miranda and Thane with me and had Samara as our Biotic Shield Generator. She's an Asari matriach, the most powerful biotics in the galaxy, hell yeah I was going to use her for the job.


I sent Jacob back with the surivors of the Normandy's crew (Kelly, the Doctor). All of them survived.
 
My final team was Samara and Miranda. It was so so satisfying to see Miranda telling the Illusive Man to kiss off.

Needless to say everyone was loyal to me. I put off the IFF for as long as possible, because frankly I've played enough BioWare games not to trust BioWare.

still no matter what i do the leader i use for the swarm dies... i've tried everything =( with all but garrus it went south right off the bat. You could hear them saying they where overwhelmed but with Garrus he was doing good... Till i got to the door and then he died. My crew is also dead all but the doctor could that change it.

Everyone but Legion survived, including all crew members. I completed Legion's loyalty mission but he still got shot in the face(he was my tech expert). Maybe I need to purchased the Geth shield upgrade or something. I'll try again later, for now I wanna start a new Shepard.



Amazing game, 36 hours logged, every single planet explored, every single quest completed.

I think Legion died because Samara was the coordinator. She hesitated a bit. In her defense, she's a lone wolf, and, for all her experience and power, wasn't used to coordinating a team. It was my fault.

I made it through just now.



Full team loyalty, saved the crew from Normandy including Kelly Chambers. Had no idea she could die until I read a post. I went into media black out until I won.



I used Legion as my Infiltrator/Door Opener.



Garrus was the team lead for both fire teams, Zaeed escorted the crew back to the ship; and I used Samara for the Biotic shield. That was awesome.



I was tense the whole way but glad to bring em home.

I wanted to just stick with who died and have that be fact, but when Legion died I couldn't bring myself to allow that to happen, I thought Zaeed would have the experience to lead a crew, I mean he was one of the founding members of the Blue Suns, the one that lead the men, but he got Legion shot. I ended up re-doing the final bit replacing Zaeed with Garrus to get my entire squad and Chakwas out, had no clue that there was a timer and did quite a few sidequests after my crew was taken

I used Tali to hack the door (I was a bit nervous since she was my LI, but she survived), Garrus as my squad leader both times (he and I are tight), Jacob to escort Dr Chakwas back, and Samara to make the biotic bubble.



What an epic ending!
