Unlike a lot of people who are having load screen freezing, my problem is slightly different. The game installed with no problem, I was able to download and install all of the DLC items without incident, and I can launch the game. I even had no problem accessing the Cerberus Network. The intro scene and Normandy destruction scenes play flawlessly on my rig. The short gameplay where Shepard rescues Joker runs smoothly with absolutely no frame rate slowdown. So far, so good, right? But once the game runs the Lazarus Project cutscene and then goes to the load screen featuring the skull scan and all the medical stats on it, the screen and sound will hiccup and then crash to a black screen. I then get the Windows message that ME2 has stopped working and Windows is attempting to find a solution (which it never does find the cause).
I've done everything from replacing the .bik files to doing a clean reinstall...and still it crashes at the exact same spot, no matter what I've tried. I have the digital download version that I purchased via EA Download Manager and it's running on a dual core PC with Windows 7 and 4GB of memory, so it more than exceeds recommended specs for ME2.
Is anyone else having this same crash issue? And if this is a repeat thread, please redirect me to the correct thread to find out what I may be missing to fix this issue.

I gotta tell ya...watching the same 11 full minutes of cutscenes over and over just to have the game crash got old about 48 hours ago...
