I've had no problems playing the game up until this point, but when I engage in the fight against Praetorian I'm experiencing a video lock-up crash every time.  It only crashes whenever Praetorian shoots that big, blue beam and only when it shoots the beam while targeting me (he shoots it at my party members and everything's fine).  Sometimes I get the "Program is not responding" message from Windows Vista, but that hasn't happened every time.  The sound also continues to play (which basically amounts to the music and sound of the blue beam getting fired) without any hiccups or anything).

I've tried upgrading my drivers (nVidia 8500 GT), reinstalling, etc. but nothing seems to work and I can't get past this point in the game.

Same issue here during the horizon mission. I get a crash to desktop in the area directly after I fight the "scion" enemy.

I have the exact same problem, except the game simply freezes and becomes nonresponsive at this point. It's always during the fight against Praetorian, at or before the point that the defense turrets begin firing at the Collector ship.

This may not be a solution, but I found through testing that the game crashes with the Praetorian if it gets too close. What I did for the Horizon one was simple. I just moved from cover spot to cover spot. It worked for me after a few tries.

It still crashed for me a few minutes in, but I'll give it another go. Better than a spontaneous boss crash.

I think I've found a solution. The game seems to crash after five to seven minutes of the Praetorian battle, so the trick is to both keep your distance from it and defeat it in less than five minutes. While cheap, the best way seems to be to set the game to the easiest difficulty level, take it out quickly, and return it back to your previous setting.
