I had both the first 2 Citadel assignments "Crime in Progress" and "Krogan Sushi" going on at once. I did the full set of dialog options for "Crime in Progress"(where the Volus is accusing the Quarian of stealing his credit chit). The assignment states talk to the investigating C-Sec officer, but even after I left dock and redocked all three of them are still standing in the same spot, and the C-Sec officer just tells me to go away. Any ideas what I need to do?

Have you gotten the chance to speak with either the Quarian or the Volus at all? Try one of those two again then just agree to look into it. You may not even have to speak with him. If I remember correctly I didn't.

The Volus's credit chit is at one of the stores...you have to talk with the employees and ask if the volus had been in there. Then return to the c-sec officer with the evidence.
As for the krogan...there's someone on the Citadel that will tell you the Krogans out of luck.
