I explained my reasoning farther up in the thread.

Let us now imagine the ****-storm of complaints and anger. 300, 000 "Bioware ruined Tali" "How could you?" and "3 games and 6 years waiting and THIS is what you give us" threads.

And not a one of them will REALLY be caused because Bioware will have done a bad job. But because these people will have had their vision of Tali ruined.

Just because you haven't built her face into perfection in your own mind and are open to whatever...you're in the vast minority...and so am I.

The difference is that I see that I am. You don't.

Again who cares, she a video game character. Also Bioware's staff have done a outcasting job with pretty every character in terms of looks. There are people who hate Tali as a character, maybe as much as many people like her. My point is people are going to like or dislike her face, but won't be any other difference between any one that already dislikes the character. I rather see it , but before this triolgy ends.

The only minorty will be the people that will complain will be the people sizing Tali up based on her "beauty". I enjoy's character as a whole, so when ever Bioware desides to show us what the Quanins look like in general , I wouldn't think of Tali more or less as a favorite squad mate or a possible love interest ( in game). I bet most Tali REAL fans will accept what she looks like.

Also you should be carefull about assuming what I like. You seem to think that Tali fans have one template. You are so wrong.

In case you didn't read my post above , enjoy Tali as a video game character based beyond her looks. Beauty is one thing, character is another. I in real life I choose a person ( I am herosexual male in real life, so I like females)by character in real life over beauty.  Sure beauty has to be their , but so does character. Even if Tali ends of being average looking , ie not as pretty as Ashley or Miranda, Kelly Chambers, I would be interested in Tali no matter what.

This right here.  The moment I realized you could romance tali I jumped on it in an instant.

Tali has always been a sweety in the story and its her character and personality that we have grown to love.  In my opinion seeing her face for most would somehow ruin how people pursive her?  We have all come to identify with everyone on mass effect through character development and personal actions, and thinking any less of a character by how they look kind of   astound's me.

Hence why I for one would not be dissapointed if they revealed her face in the third installment.  I know people have begun to imagine her in their own ways and thats fine.  I guess ill be having to do that myself know.  But given the chance I would 100% want to see what is under that mask.  Lets put a face to that personality, no matter what it looks like.

ya, when i found out that tali was a potential love interest from the early dialogue, i jumped all over it as well. as i said, tali is one of, if not, my favorite character in the game, including the first one. and while everyone does have this preconceived notion of what they THINK she looks like, i just want to see her face under the mask, whether for good or for bad. and while i do agree that the mask adds to the mystery and allure that so many of us feel for tali, there are only two outcomes from seeing what really is underneath it; "thats it? well that sucks," and "man, im glad i stuck it out with tali. i was not disappointed." i mean, it'd be REALLY nice that if we stuck with tali as our LI in the third installment, then we'd get to see her face at long last.

The only race that look a bit like humans are the Asari (face, hands and other parts you might have seen in ME1.) The other races look very alien. Tali probably looks like Greedo.

Leaving Tali's face exposed how it is is a nice touch (u can kinda see her face but kinda can't)

I always kinda imaged her with greyish/white skin and light blue glowing eyes, in a hot/alien way lol.

but seriously if Tali doesn't show up in ME3 alot of people are going to be extremely pissed

Which gets more humorous because female Rodians are actually kind of alien-hot >.> *points to the extra scenes in new star wars - episode 6*

There is no explination bioware could give to leave tali out of the 3rd installment.  Espically know since she is going to be with shepard (damn you shepard) at the end of the suicide mission.

*all depending if you picked her as a love interest*

It seems to me that those calling for BioWare not to reveal her face, because they could never meet everyone's expectations, are the only shallow ones because they fear their own expectations would not be met.

I think BioWare missed a great opportunity this time. Seeing Tali's face would be the strongest display of intimacy they could have made and only make the bond to the character even stronger. As it is, I just get repeated dialogues looking forward to intimacy with no real sense of attainment.

I also see plenty of support for Tali the character, not Tali the face, by everyone here. And I have come to trust BW's character creation enough over the past two installments to have complete faith that they will do Tali justice whenever they choose to reveal her face. (And judging from some of the dialogue in Eternity and over the PA in Omega they definitely plan to show us what the Quarians look like... Eventually).

I think everyone needs to give their fellow-gamers more credit. Not everyone is going to run away when the mask comes off and its not Jessica Alba underneath; if they wanted that they would just go for Miranda anyway. People choose Tali because of her personality (mainly; I won't deny the sex appeals of the purple hip-hugger) their not just in it to find a 10. Besides, do you really think BioWare would make an "ugly" Tali... I just can't see that one.

I'm disappointed in the complete lack of dialogue after stopping the collectors. I'd like to be able to talk with Tali like were together and not have her keep talking to me like we haven't fought the collectors yet... or any other crew member for that matter. Anyone else disappointed with this?

I would have been happy with them showing any other quarians face, just to give us something to go off of for how Tali's face would look like. What color skin do they have, do they have hair, eye color, etc. I can wait for ME3 for the big reveal, but there better be one. And for once it would be nice to be able to be with your LI more than right before the final boss when everyone thinks you might die.

Yeah, this isn't a big complaint. They at least had them say something new to you when you first talk to them. Tali's one if you romanced her was pretty LOL worthy too >.> Saucy minx.

Plus, they gave you a total nod by letting you cuddle with them in your quarters too. Sure they could have added more, but it's the most I've seen anyone do for a "post beat the game" save/continuation.

Probably a little closure would have been nice.  "hey here is a little bit of extra work we did once you beat the game*diolague and game wise*".  Not "oh we will leave you high and dry till the next one comes out"

There is a way to satisfy both those who do and do not wish to see Tali's face.  A simple dialog choice at the right moment by way of "I don't care what you look like" or "I really wanna see whats under your mask".  I would hate it to be dictated to me that I can't ever see her face because some people don't agree with me.  You should be able to choose to look or look the other way.

I for one <3 Tali.  She is easily my favorite character in the ME series.  I was disappointed that shepherd saw and I didn't because *I am shepherd*.  We all are.  Else what the hell are we doing playing ME?

Tali has grown on me since the first ME, I was ecstatic when I found out she was a romance option for ME2. I got to say I was seriously disappointed in the love scene with Tali, truly I think I would of rather they basically made it to where Tali would have to adapt herself before she was even able to have a love scene and have it continue into ME3, I can understand a cliffhanger in movies but in a game that wont see the next sequel in probably 3 years its a huge let down.....

I hope they don't ever show her face. It's her personality that makes us love her, and her mask is definitely part of the charm.

Me.  For the exact reasons you have mentioned.  I like that we are able to continue playing after the main story is completed and I immediately went to Tali.  She spoke to me briefly about what happened but, like the bedroom scene, it was over before it began. It would be nice if they could flesh out the relationship intimacy for ME3.  Hell they could even do DLC for ME 2 but logistically I doubt that will happen.

Does Bioware have some sort of pr department were they would take opinions from fan's?

Obviously companies listen to there fan's and maybe if we say enough Bioware would consider giving us the option to see her face in the next one? Giving the "OPTION" in my opinion would be the best bet around the whole "See her face or not to" debate.

Plus DLC later on to fill some of the gap's (and maybe even develop the love interest's even more) would make my day. I for one would buy that in a heartbeat.

I've heard that they read the forums a bit for fan insight... Hence my nudging them to make an MMO :)

I agree though, an option of wether to look or not when she takes off the mask would be the best option for sure. Although you know the people who choose not to look would have it ruined by all the subsequent postings on the forums, but hey at least they get choice.

From everything I've read and watched, they have said they have big DLC plans. So expect a lot more content for sure.

Yes her personality is what makes us love her, but fact is not seeing her face enforces the fact that we are not shepard, which games are made to allow you to put yourself into the character this made me feel the opposite.

Well it'd be kinda bad if she'd lie in the sick bay for a week after each cuddle session without helmet! ;p But yes, i wonder who the kinky person on the Bioware team was that pushed this "extra" feature through... This is so untypical to see in a pc-game that at first i didn't even think it possible. Had i not have to feed my fish again because of DLC missions I'd have never noticed that! ;p

Nevermind I found the intercom thing that is awesome.
