Is their anyway to prevent the Attack on the new Normandy? This happens right after you collect the IFF from the Reaper ship.

i am not there yet(about to go get the iff), but i doubt there is. just make sure you have most of the ship upgrades and you should be able to come out on top.

Only played through that part once so far, but as far as I'm aware, it's a part of the main story progression.

That's the only part of the story that irks me a bit, and not because I don't like the attack - more the timing.

Going for the IFF is how you get Legion, so basically you don't get alot of time to use him versus everyone else. Or if you choose to still do alot of side stuff, your ship will be pretty damn empty for alot of it.

I would have liked that you could CHOOSE to delay the IFF implementation while you did missions with Legion, etc.

Yeah, you can't prevent the attack. You can ignore the IFF after you've acquired it, but it'll happen after a set amount of time the next time to visit a planet or land one it (not sure which).



Alternatively, you can actually trigger it early if you just went straight to the Omega relay and tell your ship to go through it.
