I remember when they started to play preview's of Mass Effect, they said down with Bioware co founder. They showed us the tank with all the water in it. Maybe I am just native but he said and I quote We can put fish in the tank, and if we don't feed

The fish, they die. So far in my missions, I have not found any fish. Perhaps this was a joke made when he was showing around the ship, though would it be so bad to have fish inside of the water tank in Sheppeard's command room?

You can buy fish on the Citadel.

Yes you are wrong, The Fish is there, however, the Cake is a lie.

However the fish can die if you do not go to feed them after every single mission or sidequest.
