I've been wondering about this.

First of all, I wonder if I stuffed up the recruitment missions.

Because I don't like the Illusive Man, I usually bite his head off in conversations.
And one of my responses was that I wanted to find my old crew, which seemed to erase an option about seeking the new ones.

I've found Garrus (so happy to have my favorite Turian back! :wizard:) Zaeed and Mordin so far, I have a mission for Grunt (I think? is it the one about the Krogan breeding doctor?). Although I have the one for Subject Zero, I'm not going to pursue that one, considering I don't like her.

So, where do you find the missions to recruit Tali, Legion, Thane and Samara?

Please tell me I can acquire Tali and Legion realitively easy. I'd like to do a mission with them together, to observe how they interact. I'm hoping a Quarian and a Geth have some interesting dialogue/relationships.

And are Samara and Morinth mutually exclusive?
I'd like to have both, but sadly, it looks like Morinth has to die in order to get Samara.

And how do you get Loyalty to unlock their "extra power"? I've been talking to the ones I have non-stop, but so far, except for Zaeed, none of them have mentioned missions.

Believe me when I say that you gonna understand and like SuZe more after her loyalty mission. And you will hate someone else even more.

You recruit the first 5 then you get a special mission, then Thane, Samera, and Tali then another mission where you get Legion.

These missions get given to you after awhile. That is they are not automatically given to you right at the start.

And as to the loyalty missions they'll pop up after a couple of other missions. Kelly will tell you when they want to talk. Oh and as you do get the squad you almost do not have to do anything before they start asking you to do the loyalty mission.

You can only have Samara or Morinth, not both.

Jack is extremely different than how she is advertised. There's a very tragic past there and believe it or not a soft side, even if you have to dig.

Thane, Samara, Tali and Legion are all on the second disc, meaning you need to do the others first.

My only minor gripe about the recruitment is I wish you could have gotten them all relatively early on instead of being tied in to some major plot points first - a good example being Legion. If you get him, you're pretty much going to be attacked and running on a ghost ship not too far down the road even though he's probably my fave new squaddie alongside Mordin and I really wanted to do alot of side missions with him for fun.

Ahh well, minor gripe.

I will say I am totally prolonging Tali's personal quest on this playthrough to take Legion with me to the Flotilla. Apparently there are some hysterical changes to the reactions there >.>

Thanks for the answers.

They help a lot.

As regards Subject Zero, it's not that I don't like her, I just can't stand to look at her. The shaved head, the tattoos, it's all a bit much for me to take. And yet, ironically, I don't even blink when looking at Wrex or Garrus.

I am laughing at the irony of Tali (who I want to see more of) is always in full covering armor and Subject Zero (who should be wearing more) is practically, well, look at her and see.

Actually, I was wondering about the discs.

With ME1, I never had to have the disc in when I played.

But with ME2, it asked me to put the disc in.

You never had the disc in when playing ME1? So you're on the PC?

Also, when gaining loyalty there's an option for changing clothes. Regarding Zero, she matures, and her new clothing will cover her up more.

Yes, I play on the PC.

It's easier for many reasons, savegames, xFire video recording/screencapping and so on.
