Love Morrigan. When I first saw her, and her attire, I was blown. Amazing.

Really like Shale as well. I enjoyed his conversations, very much so.

The only character I love to include in my party. She is wise and sexy  I could have loved her much more if she wasn't a shapeshifter.

I like her much more than Leliana, but at the moment my character is with Leliana because he's tired of Morrigan disagreeing. Maybe they'll get back together at the end. =P

Her ignorance is no different than the ignorance of all atheists.

But is her ignorance worse than your own generalizing ignorance?

No, not by a long shot. Nothing suggests that Morrigan is atheist, just because she disagrees with the Chantry doesn't mean she doesn't believe there may be a higher power or creator deity of sorts. It would mean she is a skeptic or agnostic.

Big difference.

I think Morrigan is a masterpiece of writing. The Dark Ritual ending was very touching for me and it's a rare case when I get obsessed with a fictional character, but I can't help myself wanting to know what happens to her after the battle with the Archdemon. I think this demands for an expansion that will let us see her again.

I agree. I don't see Morrigan as evil but as a pragmatist and survivor. The ritual at the end involving my beloved did make me uncomfortable but I also realized that this is very much consistent with her character and does add a delicious twist to the end.

I too am wanting to find out what happens to her  afterwards as I think the story should continue.

Edited out spoilers...

Same, I think you should definitely have a chance to find her as well, perhaps even convince her she made a mistake?

I like the idea of my character having a son, it will make for an interesting plotline...

I love her. I'm on my first play-through and try to keep her in my party whenever I can, if only for the banter between her and Alistair.

Morrigan is great! I haven't played a male char yet so I only know her from a girl warder perspective. I like her best on the road and during campaigsn, hearing her banter and her remarks and opinions during the story.

Well, I dislike her less than I did the first time through. I'm sure part of my initial reaction was that, while I enjoyed Claudia Black in Farscape, I wasn't a Vala fan at all. I think that colored my perception of Morrigan at first. I have more empathy for Morrigan now. But it shouldn't be assumed that not 'liking' her means finding her uninteresting or unamusing. Also, while I think Morrigan is quite the nasty b**ch most of the time, Leiliana has some pretty pronounced flaws of her own. All the companions are flawed, that's what makes them interesting. I do wish there was something you could say to Morrigan about the snark, or Leiliana about the sanctimony that would make them dial it back a tad, even at the expense of approval points. There are times when I would take advantage of it. ;) My first playthrough, I left Morrigan in camp the bulk of the time because she was so unpleasant.

No I don't like her. She's a well written character even if she does sometimes have plot shield and a "I'm so fake badass." aura. Then again I'm used to actually badass characters that don't feel the need to insult everyone around them. Otherwise her constant disapproval for me doing the one thing she constantly does (speak her mind) is annoying (though so is Ali pretty much mirror reflections of one another except Ali acts like a normal decent human being so most of his flaws I can forgive).

So yeah.

LOL I just realized this was a necro thread >_> I already posted. XD

Stop necroing peps! You're confusing me! :(

I didn't mind her personality, and especially the banter between her and Alistair but I just couldn't find myself to like her. The ending made me dislike her even more.

I think if you get to know her better she might surprise you, but then again you would have to be able to stand the bickering between her and pretty much everyone else (grow a stone skin or something like that).
Had her on 3 playthroughs, but after that I couldn't stomach her any longer. She seems to get along with Shale best. And well there's the ending...Don't really miss her, but then again never romanced her.
Probably good to have some closure on the whole matter though. And about Tim Curry and Kate Mulgrew it's simple, THEY ROCK. Capt. Janeway for auto-win, only surpassed by the even more awesome Patrick Stewart (no fan of the old duo William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy although they rock as well in their own respective).
I'm really looking forward to see if the next Castlevania is as good as they make it sound even if Patrick Stewart only has a narrative function). Image IPB
