On my first playthrough I was so in depth in the game, and somehow Morrigan felt a bit more...... complex..... I mean she had all these different sides of her like for ex.: sometimes she was a mean ****, but then again sometimes you could see her delicate side (like the mirror-incident). And in the end you could really feel......that...... she loved you backOhmygod im gonna cry again

She's one of the few characters who is always willing to stand up for herself. I like most of her dialogue choices/comments as well.  (as I seem to aggree with them 99% of the time)

For some reason most of the gifts I've found are favored by Morrigan, and now she likes me 97%! But she would be of a Chaotic Neutral alignment, if such things existed in this game (and I'm glad they're not).

The thing about Morrigan is that she reminds me more than a little of Viconia from BG2.

Let's see: 
- "evil" character: check
- spellcaster: check
- outcast, estranged from the rest of the world: check
- has family issues as her personal quest: check (or so it seems anyway)
- is sexually forward and even sees sex as a tool to get control: check (or so it seems, from what we've been told)

Maybe i'm just reading too much into it, i don't know. But anyway, I liked Viconia a lot as an NPC, so it doesn't bother me. 

Viconia was a hottie...i get annoyed with Morrigan's sexual line... about it being cold or whatever she says.  the way she says it makes me want to barf.

As a player, I think she's a great character, and Claudia Black did a fantastic job with the acting (so much so, I started watching Farscape-- she's got another great "tough girl" role in it).



My character, however, alternatively likes and wants to strangle her. We've all had friends like her, the kind we're never REALLY sure we're friends with.

I thought the premise was pretty good. Implementation was great, if not lacking a bit of meat (Dialogue wise). I'd have liked to see her voice her opinion more frequently. There were a lot of points of her personality which weren't explored. For example, how she is a hermit...yet when you o to Denerim you never even hear her comment on the city, it's people, not anything, really. This actually goes for most areas of the game. Also, an existential breakdown on her part would be reasonable to expect.

Cladia Blacks sexy voice with an extreamly hot digital body with the personality of a wicked sexy suductris..hmm I dont see the apeal...((has made her the main romance party member in all male playthroughs))

I very much liked Morrigan. The folks at Bioware did a very good job with her. You have a character who is very complex: innocent, jaded, nice, has a mean streak, authentic, and all of those contradictions in her essence make sense. From the conversations with her as a a Warden, you can imply she's hiding inner conflicts as you seem to influence her throughout the story. One of my favorite characters in video games. Ever.

In all the parties I've created, she's always a permanent member.



She's a mage, which I need, I love her sense of humor, and she's quite useful in battle.



And I find the cat fights she and Lianne have quite entertaining.

Morrigan's great! Some playthroughs I tell myself I'm going for Leliana just to see what happens and I always end up with Morrigan. Just can't help it.

You try to go for the good girl, but you are just attracted to the bad girl huh?

For my latest party, I actually stopped my advances on Morrigan (ended it) so that I could go with Leliana without losing too many approval points.

That's exactly it, and considering I haven't rolled a "traditional" mage she's always in my party. I recently downloaded a mod that changes Leliana's hair to appear as it was in the Sacred Ashes trailer. It's a bit shallow but I think that's what will get me to finally court her.

I saw that trailer a few days ago and I couldn't resist doing the same.

I know this sounds really weird about a computer generator character, but I find she looks a lot hotter with red hair.

She looked too plain with her original hair style.

I just might be a sucker for red heads too =)

I think Leliana's character suffers a bit from the options in conversation. You have to agree with her ideas on the Maker and the Chantry to get close to her. I understand that you can then persuade her into becoming an assassin again, but at the cost of being inconsistent with my character's opinion of the Maker. She doesn't like it when i say bad things about him.

I am the kind of guy who actually stops to help someone who needs it and I don't need her dissaproving frown whenever I stop to help someone who just lost their home and loved ones to a marauding army.

Just a suggestion: if you know ahead of time she'll disapprove, switch her out of your party.

For example, in redcliffe, until I was ready to fight, I had lelianne, alistair, myself and the dog in my party.

Never received one negative approval from anyone (ie, sten or morrigan)

I understand that but it also ruins future plays and doesn't change who she is (which is why I do not like her.)  If you play a nice guy, why do you want her to like you so much you hide the fact your a nice guy from her?  If you play a jerk, there is no reason to take her out of your party.  Meta gaming is fine, its just not what this thread was about.

I do it because I like the bonus given to the characters at the 25/50/75/100? (never actually reached 100 yet).

I haven''t played the game as a hardcore jerk yet though. I just like helping people.
