This is more of a complaint than an actual question. Other people have probably complained about the same thing, but the more that have done so, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm talking about the giant pain in the ass it is to actually start playing this game. Not only do I have to register some account with EA that I certainly do not want, I have to go through this buggy and bloated Adobe-powered online activation system before I play. Even though I added firewall exceptions beforehand, it still took three attempts for me to successfully contact EA and activate--my Internet connection is almost always smooth and unproblematic, as it was for anything else I did around that time. The first attempt crashed out after entering the product key, then I had to update Adobe's software, and another attempt didn't even reach the servers. I had to enter my product key a total of 3 times: once at install, twice at the broken activation prompt.

If I do have a question, it would be what, precisely, is the use of all this bloat and extra BS? I'll bet you there are hacked versions of the game that circumvent all this--as far as I can see, you're just giving thieves more reasons to steal your product and not deal with all this useless stuff. As someone who actually bought the game on Direct2Drive, I am offended that someone could steal the game and not have to put up with all this unnecessary crap. In general, I'm just really annoyed that I needed to figure out this buggy piece of bloat--update the buggy activation software and make three attempts just to enter in a product key that I already entered at the installation, for christ's sake-- in order to play the game.
