Anyone having this issue or does Mass Effect 2 just not like Windows 7 x64?

I have above and beyond the recommended system requirements and i have no PC issues.

I'll be playing and it'll randomly freeze and crash, my drivers are updated and all of that noob stuff that people forget.

Sometimes the loading screen (specifically when switching decks on the normandy) will about a minute and a half, sometimes it takes 2 seconds. I realise this could be cache memory loading the ship quicker but Ive had other decks load in 2 seconds right after coming back from a mission.

Am i alone?

PS: I've also had a weird issue on planets where I'll be running, and suddenly my character is hovering in the air (no i did not get owned by a biotic) and I'm stuck there.

I have to keep f5 saving every 30 seconds -.-

these issues dont happen often, maybe once every 2 hrs of gameplay, but still. Well actually this crash happened 2 minutes after I loaded it up -.-

I do get the long loading screen issue when in the Normandy (which I just got to last night). I was doing a walkthrough to see how the new ship looked and anytime I went from one deck to another it would take an average of about a minute to load the next deck.

I'm on x64 Windows 7 with an AMD6000+ dual core, 3GB RAM, and an 8800GT. I haven't experienced the other issues, such as floating or whatnot, and have really not had any crashing, stuttering, frame skipping, or sound issues at all. I'm running 16X ansiotropic filtering at 1920x1200 resolution with every option in config enabled and at the highest setting, plus the DepthofShadow = false setting in the config file as instructed by someone on this forum for overly dark shadow control.

I did get stuck in a mission with my teammates shooting at an attack drone that didn't exist though. It's label was on screen and they shot at it, but it never appeared or shot back. The game wouldn't unlock the door to move on though, so I have to consider that a crash. It resolved on a restart.

I think it's too early to say what's definitely a consequence of x64 or of Windows 7, but you are not alone in at least one of your complaints. At least in ME1 we got to listen to elevator music during loading...

my elevator loading times are typically short, but for reasons unknown today, it actually just froze up turned black, and then I got a blue screen.
