I've been playing DAO for a couple of weeks now (40hrs?) and have some simple questions I need help with please.
1. Equiment: Choosing my origin (Dalish male warrior) didn't garner me much gp. So, I've been pretty stingy w/ purchasing things. I've splurged for every backpack I could find to take some burden off of inventory control (and sold lot's of stuff) and a couple of weapons/misc items/etc. My questions is - My gp situation is much improved (maybe 12-14gp), but is purchasing items from vendors the best option? I can't ever find matching sets at one locale. Enemy drops are pretty pathetic except for boss fights. Are there better quest rewards?
2. Time constraints: I'm trying NOT to plow through the game and enjoy it at a more leiusurely pace for better rp purposes. Do I have to be concerned w/ events spiraling away from me? For example, I was completing a series of side quests at Radcliffe and accidentally activated the 'forest edge'...Seems like there's lot's going on there. Can I leave and tidy up some business or should I dive further into the quests there?
3. Quest order: I'm sure everyone has map areas that they gravitate to on re-runs with the gift of fore-knowledge.
4. Specializations: After some camp time, gift giving, and dialogue, I think I'm ready to unlock my first specialization from Alistair. Then I started thinking that maybe a Grey Warden should be working to unlock specializations for his team too...So, do I need to unlock 'Duelist or Ranger' for one of my rogue mates to be able to use it? I would like to give my rogue/bard the ranger specialization at lvl 14 (next level), but am unsure if she can specialize w/o me unlocking it first.
Probably should've said this to start, but I am playing
Dalish/Male Elf/Warrior
Lvl 14
DW daggers
Dalish armor set (Tier 1!!!)
Team of Leliana, Wynne, Alistair primarily
Thanks for any help
