I recevied my Promo Code from Amazon.com for Pre-Ordering ME2. The instructions inform me that the code can only be redemed at Masseffect.com.

However, the following warning appears:

"Redeeming a code will use it permanently; make sure you are logged in to
this site with the same email address that you are using for your
in-game account!"

Although the email address is corerect, it apparently also allows for a specific Xbox Gamertag to be associated with my account. I would feel safer if my Gamertag were associated with my BioWare account.

How is this acomplished?

Login with the email address and password associated with your social.bioware.com account, which is an EA account.

I should clarify that when you login over at the EA site you want to use the email address and password associated with your account here. I just reread the ea faq page and it doesn't mention that.

Your social.bioware.com account is an EA account. Don't make another one inadvertently, cause if you do you have to get EA support to sort it out and that's a huge pain.
