Every time I try to start the game, it says:
"Error initializing PhysX. Please visit htt;://www.nvidia.com/physx for updated drivers."
So I checked nvidia's site and downloaded + installed the new drivers, but I keep
getting this message.
Help?

Making certain that the Search turns up threads that actually were answered, and the stupid thing prefer to offer up the oldest it can, so this long-dead item was involved.  The answer hadn't been given.

And, let's make a separate aspect of this clear -- if the video device doesn't meet the requirements, PhysX just might not be able to work with it at all.  I believe that will include most of Intel's poor excuses for video chips, as well as S3, and SiS.

PhysX has had two separate, but similar systems.  The original was strictly a CPU-driven add on for games.  Then, they sold a hardware-based system with special PhysX cards you plugged into your PC.  nVIDIA bought the company and eventually integrated the hardware support into late model Geforce GPUs.

Both Dragon Age and Mass Effect have the CPU-based PhysX on their game disks, which generally won't install if your PC has the GPU-based software already, but is sometimes needed anyway, and should run itself from the game disk to install the CPU-based PhysX where it belongs.
