I was curious, so I tested this out. While you can respec Shepard's points and redistribute them as you wish, your team squad points do not reset. Saddened by this, I calculated how many squad points you end up with for each teammate. Each teammate will end up with 30 points to distribute at level 30.

Tangent: NOWHERE was it explained that you get squad points for EVERY teammate. Based on an initial reading, the language makes it seem like you get 2 squad points and have to choose which teammate to give them to.  That was very distressing until I figured out that every teammate gets squad points as you level.

Back to the point: Teammates only have 4 powers. 30 points at level 30 means you can max out 3 of a teammate's powers and put no points into the fourth, or do some rearranging and end up with leftover points and half-ranked powers.

Bottom line: Be careful how you spec your teammates because you can't change their points once you allocate them.

Oh, and Miranda and Jacob seem to have an extra point because they both start with 1 rank in 2 skills instead of 1 rank in 1 skill like every other teammate.  Weird.

It's a bit of a pain in the ass that you can't respec them but it's not the end of the world. Should be an option though, for 5k eezo or w/e the respec cost is.

Wait, you can respec Shepard? I did not know that! That's handy. And yeah, I figured your squadmates would get less points to go around. But honestly, I think having half-ranks is good. I think it's better to have access to many powers, even if they aren't full strength.

I would highly recommend that you max your squad's class skills regardless of any other skills you want.

Oh really? You can respec Shepard's skills? That is a relief. I'm playing adept, and am a bit hesitant in spending talent points. At least that isn't much of an issue now.

Sadly you can't respec Team mate as well you have to spend 1 point on a power to unlock another which is annoying if you don't want that power and wanna save a done bar for the loyalty power =/.
