Is there seriously no place to restock Medi-gel on the Normandy?

The game automatically gives you full ammo (heat sinks) at the start of a mission, but you go into battle without the proper medical support. There's a state of the art medical bay on the SR2, but it doesn't stock anything useful (or anything at all). Sad. You have to rely on first aid stations throughout the missions to resupply you.
