Also take into account that Quarians probably had different accents on their planet already.
Asari, Salarians and Turians have been seen with different accents. I haven't seen Volus or Batarians with different accents though. And Hanar and Elcor make sense to not differ in accents considering their culture.
I was about to mention this, but I wouldn't call Animal Mother his biggest role. He didnt really become a household name until he started appearing on TV regularly (i.e. Firefly, Chuck, Angel, etc..). Animal Mother wasn't even really a main cast member of the film. He doesnt make his first appearance until well after half the film has played.Zero9999 wrote...
Also just gotta throw it out there while Adam Baldwin has done great things with Firefly and Serenity, as well as Chuck. His biggest roll was Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket.
To the topic at hand, I did find his voice a little "immersion breaking" because I recognized it so well knowing that he'd be in the game. However it didn't bother me about the lack of accent.

Adam Baldwin, you didn't watch the cast video I assume? As to his performance it was pretty average but good considering that that was probably his first voiceover job.
Quarians have varied accents, they aren't all eastern-european sounding, guess it depends on the ship.

Veetor was also American, Xen was Claudia Black (Australian + English), Gerrel and Zoris were English, and Raan was Iranian. Does anyone know what is up with Kal'Reegar's voice actor? Is he secretly human or something, because every Quarian VA uses Tali's accent except him. The performance is incredibly dull, lacks any nuance, and it sounds like the VA just couldn't be bothered to put on a fake accent of any sort. Most of the human characters sound less American than him!
