I play ME2 on X360. I woke up Grunt and completed his loyalty mission, unlocking his special power for Shepard to do Advanced Training for, but it didn't unlock it for Grunt, saying it's still locked because he is not loyal, even though by all other standards he is. Is there a second loyalty mission for this or is this a known glitch I missed while looking through the forums?

It is possible to complete loyalty missions and do something that still make them just normal loyality

I have the same question and this is not an answer.
I have finished the loyalty mission for each member except Tali (just recruited her) and after each loyalty mission that characters special abilities were unlocked. Not so for Grunt. I am going to take him back to homeworld and see if I can get him over to the lady's camp. maybe that will make him "really" loyal.

You have to talk with wrex after words and also go talk to the clan shaman. Then after that go talk to the krogan scientist!

Did you promote Grunt to Krogan Pureblood before completing his loyalty mission? I did this and couldn't get his loyalty to unlock. Went back to an earlier save and waited until after completing his loyalty mission before making him a Pureblood. Try it and see if that works.

I read somewhere,( can't remember or I would post a link) that if you do not do the turret pyjak killing mission on tuchanka before completing Grunt's mission that his power will not unlock.
I have no idea why these would be connected to one another in a scripting sense, but I do that side mission first and have never been bugged. I really do not know if it is true or not though.
